Who Is Kate Middleton's New Sister-In-Law?
James Middleton, the brother of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton, has found true love. James married Alizée Thevenet on September 12, and now Kate and Pippa have a new sister-in-law! But it has been a long road to happiness for the youngest Middleton sibling.
In 2019, Kate Middleton's younger brother James wrote about his battle with depression in a column penned for The Daily Mail. In his column for the outlet, James wrote, "I know I'm richly blessed and live a privileged life. But it did not make me immune to depression," he wrote. "It is tricky to describe the condition. It is not merely sadness. It is an illness, a cancer of the mind."
James made headlines after revealing that his depression started in 2016. But in his Daily Mail column, James said he did not seek help for his illness until 2017. He recalled, "I couldn't feel joy, excitement or anticipation — only heart-thudding anxiety propelled me out of bed in the morning." He later sought help after a heart arrhythmia, "sleeplessness, anxiety and inertia." In the groundbreaking column, James explained that he was not "cured," but that after getting help, he felt a "new sense of purpose and zest for life."
His new "zest" included a new romance that has turned into marriage. Keep reading to find out more about Kate's new sister-in-law!

Alizée Thevenet is Kate Middleton's new sister-in-law
The day after his wedding to Alizée Thevenet, James Middleton took to social media to share his joy. As the happy groom posted on Instagram on September 13, "Mr & Mrs Middleton," he shared, complete with emojis of the Union Jack and France's flag to represent their home countries. "Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am."
According to The Mirror, Kate's new sister-in-law is in her early 30s, was raised in France, and works in finance. When Alizée is not working, she loves to travel and is "mad" about dogs, which aligns with James, known for his love of pups. (Just look at his Instagram.) In fact, the outlet reported that the couple met in 2018 through James' dog Ella, who ran over to Alizée instead of getting a drink of water. James explained, "I went over to apologize and bring Ella back. But Alizée thought I was the waiter and ordered her drink while continuing to stroke Ella, who at this point was on her back lapping up the attention." What an adorable meet-cute!
The Mirror reported that Alizée and James tied the knot in a ceremony that reportedly included "Kate, Prince William, and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis."
