Saoirse Ronan Messed With Ed Sheeran's 'Galway Girl' Tattoo
Turns out Saoirse Ronan is a bit of a troublemaker.
After finishing up filming the music video for his hit song "Galway Girl," Ed Sheeran, 26, wanted to commemorate the moment. According to Entertainment Tonight, Sheeran, who started off his world tour in Europe on April 16, 2017, told the crowd before him a funny little story about when he got inked—and what went wrong.
Since Ronan, 23, starred in the music video, which has yet to be released, Sheeran thought it'd be fitting to have "Galway Girl" tattooed on his body in her handwriting. But apparently, Ronan was in a clever mood.
"When we were filming it, I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying 'Galway Girl.' It actually says 'Galway Grill,'" Sheeran explained to the audience (seen in a video on a Ronan fan account). "Full-on, she really took the piss out of me. It actually says 'grill,' g-r-i-l-l."
But don't worry—Sheeran's not mad. ""I'm actually kind of proud of her," Sheeran, whose latest album dominated the U.K. singles charts, said. "It's the kind of thing that I would do."
Glad there's no bad blood between these two. Other people may not have been as forgiving about such a permanent prank.
