Janet Jackson Shares First Photo Of Son Eissa
Janet Jackson may be making headlines for her split from billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana, but the "Rhythm Nation" singer definitely has at least one good thing going for her: her newborn son, Eissa.
Jackson took to Instagram late on April 14, 2017 to share the first public photo of her bundle of joy—and boy, is he cute.
"My baby and me after nap time," Jackson captioned the photo, which shows baby Eissa mid-yawn.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, rumors swirled that the R&B star was expecting after she made an announcement while on tour in April 2016. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour," she said. "Please, if you can, try to understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up; doctor's orders."
However, it wasn't until Oct. 2016 that she finally announced her pregnancy.
On Jan. 3, 2017, Jackson, at age 50, gave birth to her first child.
Since then, details about Jackson and her child have remained scarce. A source told Entertainment Tonight earlier in the week that Jackson has been focusing on her son throughout her separation from Al Mana. "Janet is ecstatic," their source stated. "She's so happy with her baby and that's all she is focused on."
From the photo, we'd have to say that motherhood certainly agrees with Jackson.
