New Details Revealed About Pippa Middleton's Wedding
Ever since Pippa Middleton and James Matthews announced their engagement in July 2016, the world has been dying to hear some wedding details—and they have finally been released to the public!
As Us Weekly reported, Middleton, 32, and Matthews, 41, will say their "I Dos" at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, England on May 20, 2017. This intimate countryside church holds special meaning for the bride-to-be, E! News revealed, as it stands only six miles from where she and her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, grew up in Bucklebury.
With the big day nearly five weeks away, author-socialite Middleton has been hard at work maintaining her "specific vision" for the wedding throughout the planning process. As an insider source told Us Weekly, "She doesn't want it to be too expensive or look gaudy. Classic and elegant are two of the words she used to describe it." It will also be a more low-key and private affair than her sister's highly-publicized ceremony in 2011, as the 12th-century church sits on several acres of land and is surrounded by trees.
Kensington Palace also confirmed part of the wedding guest list to the publication. Duchess Kate, Prince William, and Prince Harry will all be in attendance. And while it is uncertain what role Duchess Kate will play in the ceremony, a source told the magazine that in lieu of being a bridesmaid, she will most likely do a reading. Adorably, Middleton's niece and nephew, 1-year-old Princess Charlotte and three-year-old Prince George, will also play important roles—serving as a bridesmaid and a page boy, respectively.
Hello! magazine stated that the church's resident priest, Rev. Nick Wynne-Jones, will officiate the ceremony. And afterwards, as Us Weekly added, a luxury tent party will be held in the garden of Middleton's family home.
Middleton and her financier fiancé Matthews have, until now, successfully kept mum on these details. But beyond these recent reveals, any other wedding plans are currently being kept under wraps.
