Reese Witherspoon Lands New Gig With Elizabeth Arden
Reese Witherspoon must love staying busy.
People magazine reports that the Legally Blonde (2001) actress has added yet another job to her ever-growing resume: Storyteller-In-Chief at Elizabeth Arden.
Basically, Witherspoon will be the new face of the beauty brand–likely with some influence over Elizabeth Arden's creative marketing strategy.
Elizabeth Arden announced their plans to work with Witherspoon on March 30, 2017 with a post to social media: "I am beyond excited to announce that @RWitherspoon is the latest member of the Elizabeth Arden family as Storyteller-in-Chief! #ArdenXReese."
The brand's president, JuE Wong, also explained how excited they are to have Witherspoon on board with them.
"Reese is truly ahead of the curve when it comes to understanding the lifestyle of her consumer," Wong stated. "Her authenticity, which resonates worldwide, combined with her business acumen, digital prowess and social media footprint, provide a unique opportunity to further develop the 'Liz Arden' persona, connect with women, and inspire them to 'go out and mark their mark.'"
The Big Little Lies (2017-) actress, who just celebrated her 41st birthday, is–obviously–just as pumped to start working with the company. In a statement, she revealed what attracted her to Elizabeth Arden in the first place.
"One of the first things that drew me to the brand was its rich heritage and history of supporting women," Witherspoon said. "As one of the first female entrepreneurs, Elizabeth Arden paved the way for women like me. It's an honor to carry on her legacy and be part of such an iconic company that is committed to serving women."
She continued: "I'm excited to work as a creative partner alongside the Elizabeth Arden team, producing content that celebrates the spirit of the brand, highlighting female-centric stories that illustrate women's true life experiences which unite us all."
Witherspoon's first campaign with Elizabeth Arden is set to appear in magazines in May 2017.
Other things on Witherspoon's list of recent accomplishments include expanding her clothing line Draper James, founding the female-centric multimedia brand Hello Sunshine, and championing for a new Legally Blonde sequel.
