What Happened To Caleb And Justine After Love Island USA?
Following the Season 3 finale of "Love Island USA" that saw Olivia Kaiser and Korey Gandy win the grand prize, fans might be wondering whatever happened to last year's winners: Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew. The fan-favorite couple, who took home $100,000 and became the first Black couple to finish in first place in the franchise's history, seemed very serious about making the relationship work outside the villa.
"The second we get our phones back, we're talking about flights," Caleb told Entertainment Tonight in 2020. "We'll probably see each other in a couple of weeks. We'll probably keep seeing each together, so we can figure out a way to be in the same place — or at least the same vicinity."
The two were also realistic about their future and what they should expect in the real world. "We're still taking our time out here as well," Justine explained, referring to her and Caleb's slow-burning "Love Island" romance. "We didn't let winning and making it to the end change anything between us, which is why we were able to share how we felt about each other but still not rush to put a title on things even though I think we are there."
So did Caleb and Justine make it work? Scroll ahead to find out what happened to them post-"Love Island."
Caleb and Justine broke up a few months after Love Island
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end — and in Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew's case, that was just three months after winning "Love Island USA." They confirmed their breakup in January, per Us Weekly, via since-deleted posts on their respective Instagram accounts.
"It's truly a strange feeling to be typing this out but I understand my reality is now having to share some aspects of my life with you all regardless of how private I'd like to remain at times," Justine wrote at the time. "This is extremely difficult for me to express but out of respect for those of you who supported me, and rode for me, I want you to know that Caleb and I are no longer together."
For his part, Caleb addressed the split one day later. He wrote, "This announcement has been one that we have wrestled with for some time now. Not knowing exactly when or how to deliver it. The nature in which we met and fell for each other comes with a unique set of obstacles that nothing in life can ever prepare you for." He continued, "We genuinely appreciate those of you who have supported us and thank you in advance to those of you who will continue supporting us."
Caleb and Justine have both moved on from the relationship
Though it doesn't seem like either of them are in relationships with other people — at least not according to their Instagram accounts — Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew appear to be doing just fine following their breakup. Right after the split, Justine admitted ending the relationship was hard on her and that she was still "processing everything," per People. However, she said should would "be making every effort to move on and move forward."
According to her social media, she bounced back and has used her "Love Island USA" fame to launch her career as an influencer. Since winning the show, Justine has partnered with brands like Fab Fit Fun, Savage X Fenty, and White Fox Boutique. She also serves as an ambassador for the company Shoe Dazzle. On top of that, she launched a podcast called "As You Should" with fellow Islander and close friend Celly Vazquez.
As for Caleb, he's building a social media presence, too, and has collaborated with companies like Samsung and Bojangles. He's also traveled to Nashville and the Caribbean and temporarily started a mini series on Instagram called "No Bad Days" where he provided fans with worldly updates. Although they couldn't make their romance last after leaving the villa, it seems like Justine and Caleb are making the most out of their post-reality television lives.
