Of All The 90 Day Fiance Series, This One Stands Above The Rest
When "90 Day Fiancé" first premiered on TLC, fans had no idea that the show would become the juggernaut that it is today. It has spawned several spin-offs and related shows, and it continuously becomes a trending topic on Twitter when it airs.
Recently, it was announced that Discovery Plus would host yet another "90 Day Fiancé" spin-off called "Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, A 90 Day Story." According to People, this show isn't so much a spin-off as it is an independent show that follows the "90 Day" format. Regardless of the technicalities, "Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, A 90 Day Story" is the latest addition to the long list of related series that includes "Happily Ever After," "Before The 90 Days," "Pillow Talk," "Self-Quarantine," "B90 Strikes Back," "The Single Life," and many, many more.
But out of all the "90 Day Fiancé" spin-offs, one stands out above the rest. Keep scrolling to learn which one is the best "90 Day Fiancé" of them all.
The original '90 Day Fiancé' is simply the best
Of all the "90 Day Fiancé" series, the first four seasons of the original "90 Day Fiancé" stand above the rest. According to Medium, they're a standout because the show was still a "fairly legit" series about couples from two different worlds trying to find love with one another, instead of the Jerry Springer-meets-"Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" mess it became in the later seasons. These four seasons feature MVP couples from the series: Russ and Paola Mayfield, Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko, Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou (pictured above), and Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno.
It's a testament to their excellence, for example, that even though Jorge and Anfisa are no longer together (and, according to People, Jorge had a baby with another woman in 2021), people still care about their plight. Chantel and Pedro are the first "90 Day Fiancé" couple to get a spin-off, called "The Family Chantel." Paola revealed to TV Insider that she built a wrestling career following the show, which "90 Day Fiancé" fans are eager to support. And as for Nicole and Azan? Well, when your breakup makes Us Weekly, you know you're a real celebrity. Season 6's Larissa and Colt could never!
We're definitely in agreement that the first four seasons of "90 Day Fiancé" are the MVPs of the franchise.
