Inside Jennifer Lopez's Daughter Emme's Life Today
Jennifer Lopez is an Emmy-nominated star and international music icon with more than two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. But above her highly acclaimed career, J. Lo is the loving mom of her twins, daughter Emme and son Max. The "Hustlers" actor welcomed her children in February 2008 during her 10-year marriage with then-husband Marc Anthony.
As someone who has the voice of an angel, it's no surprise Emme is following in her parents' singing footsteps. While she's still just a teen, Emme already has experience performing in front of large crowds. During the "On the Floor" singer's Super Bowl halftime show performance in February 2020, Emme joined her mom to sing the hit "Let's Get Loud" and part of "Born in the USA" (via BuzzFeed).
Emme looked like a complete natural as she strutted her stuff onstage, but once admitted she "used to be really shy singing in front of people." That was the case when Emma "was little," though as she revealed, she's "not anymore" in a YouTube clip titled "It's My Party Tour Diary Episode 2" in June 2019. "I like being up on the stage, and the dancers are all behind me," she continued, "Because, every show, I look in a different direction to see who's behind me. My favorite person to see is my mom."
Lopez's daughter doesn't just take after her talent, but she's also her spitting image! Keep scrolling for more on Emme's life today.
Jennifer Lopez's teenage daughter looks so grown-up in new selfie
Jennifer Lopez's little "coconut" isn't so little anymore! The "Enough" actor proved how quickly her girl, Emme, is growing up when she uploaded a photo of the mother-daughter duo flashing their sweet smiles. Lopez and her mini-me looked so happy to be spending time together on July 17, as she wrote in the caption, "#WeekendVibes with my coconut."
Throughout the years, the "Selena" star has given many glimpses inside her life as a mom. During a conversation with the Wall Street Journal in November 2020 (via Newsbreak), Lopez got candid about seeing Emme and Max grow up before her very eyes. "I watched them go from kind of young and naive to really, like, grown-ups to me," the proud parent gushed.
Now that the brunette bombshell's kiddos are old enough to understand what she does for a living, she wants to do work she knows she'll be proud of. Speaking to The New York Times, Lopez explained why she loved playing the role of Ramona in "Hustlers" in 2019. "I love that you never see Ramona with a man. Except when she's in the club or working," she said. "To play that, to live in those shoes, to walk in those very high heels, in that skin, made me realize I'm out here on my own. That's what I need to teach my daughter ... that aspect of it, that you can do it on your own."
