Inside Ashley Iaconetti And Jared Haibon's Relationship
Bachelor nation's Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon did not take a direct path to their happily ever after. Ashley first came onto the Bachelor nation scene when she competed on Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor" in 2015 and Jared appeared on "The Bachelorette" later that year competing for Kaitlyn Bristowe's affection. Neither of them won the heart of the lead on their season, and they ended up on "Bachelor in Paradise."
In a video the pair made called "The Story of Us," Ashley explained that she was instantly attracted to Jared on the beach in Mexico. "I remember walking down the steps in Paradise and seeing him at the bar ... I was just so gravitated and drawn to him. It was truly love at first sight," the "Almost Famous" podcast host recalled. The pair tried to make a relationship work that summer but Jared's feelings weren't as strong as Ashley's, and the pair tried out being friends.
Ashley appeared on "The Bachelor Winter Games" where she started up a relationship with Kevin Wendt. Jared admitted that while Ashley was dating Kevin, his feelings for her began to grow, per People. The pair went on a pre-planned trip to St. Lucia with their Bachelor Nation friends, where Jared confessed his newfound feelings for Ashley. After a kiss at the airport straight out of a rom-com, Ashley knew it wasn't meant to be with Kevin. The couple confirmed they were dating, got engaged in 2018, and married in 2019. Now, they're taking another big step.
Ashley and Jared have some exciting news to share
Ashley Iaconneti and Jared Haibon revealed on Amazon Live that they are expecting their first child together. Ashley is 10 weeks along and their baby is due in February 2022, per Page Six. In the livestream, the mom-to-be revealed she's dealt with horrible morning sickness. "Jared hasn't kissed me in a while because I can't stop throwing up," Ashley joked.
She went into further detail on her Instagram account. "I won't lie though, pregnancy has not been a delight for me," Ashley wrote. "The nausea has been relentless and I throw up multiple times most days. I knew the first trimester wasn't easy for most, but I didn't imagine my life to come to a standstill feeling like I have an extreme hangover for 5 weeks and counting."
The pair have been open about their pregnancy journey on social media. "Our fur baby is still our only baby right now. We've been trying to conceive for 6 months/cycles now," Ashley shared on her Instagram back in May. The pair also divulged that they'll be learning the sex of their baby at their next doctor's appointment and that while they've settled on a potential boy name, they aren't sure about a girl name. "It's weird to say we're gonna be parents. When does it sink in?" Ashley wondered excitedly. Congratulations to the happy couple!
