Shahs Of Sunset Star Announces Split After Less Than Two Months Of Marriage
Just a little over a month since tying the knot, Shahs of Sunset's Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi is calling it quits on her short-lived marriage.
The 35-year-old's rep, Steve Honig, released a statement about the shocking separation (via People), "During the past few weeks, certain facts have come to GG's attention that have made her realize her marriage can no longer continue and, in fact, should have never happened. She is hoping to end the relationship as amicably and respectfully as possible."
The relationship between Gharachedaghi and now-ex Shalom happened quickly. They confirmed their relationship in October of 2016 and two months later, Shalom used a Times Square billboard to pop the question. It read, "Golnesa, My Love, My Everything...Will You Marry Me?"
The two secretly wed a month later on Jan. 25 at Albertson Wedding Chapel in Los Angeles, and the Bravo star confirmed their marriage on Valentine's Day by uploading a video of the ceremony to Instagram, which has since been deleted. Gharachedaghi was casually dressed for the nuptials, wearing a white turtleneck, well-worn jeans, and over the knee boots. She captioned the video, "It was just the two of us and the good grace of God, which was good enough for us. And for lots of you asking, yes, we still plan on having a reception at some point so we can share our love with family and friends. He's Jewish, I'm Muslim. Let this be a lesson to many closed minded people, that love has no religion, it has no race, it has no limitations. Love always conquers!"
Gharachedaghi hasn't posted about the split on social media.
