Tori Spelling Welcomes Fifth Child
Tori Spelling is a mom—again!
People reports that the 43-year-old actress and her husband Dean McDermott, 50, have welcomed a newborn son. The latest addition to their family, Beau Dean McDermott, was born on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:48 p.m. He weighed 5 lbs, 12 oz and measured 18 ½ inches in length.
Spelling and McDermott—who overcame McDermott's infidelity to celebrate their 10 year anniversary with matching tattoos on May 7—share their excitement with People. "We are over the moon in love with baby Beau," they gushed. "He is a true blessing and his brothers and sisters were overjoyed to meet him! We are all truly grateful for our big beautiful and healthy family."
Spelling later took to Twitter to announce the news herself. Alongside a black and white photo of her baby's tiny hand, she wrote, "We are so excited to announce the birth of the newest member of the McDermott family! Please join us in welcoming Beau Dean McDermott."
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress shared a photo from her pregnancy photo shoot just a few days earlier, showing off her growing baby bump.
Beau is the couple's fifth child together, joining two brothers and two sisters. McDermott also has a son, Jack, 18, from a previous marriage.
Spelling revealed news of her pregnancy to People in October 2016. While she and her husband have always wanted a big family, learning that they were yet again pregnant came as a total surprise. Though, they admitted that their fifth pregnancy does not come without certain stresses. "Dean was saying, 'We just got Finn out of diapers; I thought we were in the clear!'" Spelling told the magazine. "For the first time this year, they're all in school. So it's like, wow. We're basically starting over."
E! News reported details about Spelling's baby shower in Feb. 2017, which was held at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, Calif. Hosted by mom Candy Spelling, the party was decorated with hundreds of large blue balloons and extravagant floral arrangements. To fit the theme, guests were served blue-colored lemonade in baby bottles that were wrapped in mini cloth diapers.
