Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck To Divorce
More than two years after announcing their separation, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are reportedly done for good.
Garner, 44, is finally ready to file for divorce from the Batman v Superman (2016) star, Us Weekly reported. A source said, "No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them. They are both committed to their family." A second source noted that Affleck, 44, moved out of the Brentwood, Calif., home the couple had been sharing.
The news is surprising, considering as recently as September 2016, the pair appeared to be on the road to reconciliation after being spotted on a date without their kids. In fact, most of the past year has looked promising for the pair. A source close to Garner told Us Weekly after the family spent time vacationing in Italy in June 2016, "A lot of the damage in their relationship has been mended...Jen would get back with him." Another Garner insider told People, "They're still figuring things out. Ben still doesn't want the divorce and he might actually get his way...Ben wants Jen back. Ben has never been good alone and isn't now either. But he is constantly working on himself. He has made big changes."
Garner and Affleck met on the set of Pearl Harbor (2001) and fell in love on the set of Daredevil (2003), while he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez. They married in 2005, separated in 2015, and share daughters Violet, 11, and Seraphina, 8, and son Sam, 4. Shortly after the initial split, Affleck was rumored to be hooking up with the couple's nanny, Christine Ouzounian, but Garner denied that the alleged affair played a role in the split.
