Lourdes Leon Reveals This Star Was Her First Boyfriend
Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon, has stayed out of the spotlight for the majority of her career. But 2021 has marked an end to Leon's usual reclusiveness; the dancer joined Instagram and was announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs in February, per USA Today. She also starred in fashion campaigns for Stella McCartney and Juicy Couture. Leon is not shy about making her voice heard and has clapped back at her mother's fans for commenting on her Instagram as she tries to blaze her own path in Hollywood.
In a possible effort to raise her profile, Leon gave an interview to Vanity Fair and dished about her mom Madonna's parenting skills, her thoughts on thirsty commenters on Instagram, and her dating history. She has been dating Jonathan Puglia since 2017, per Page Six, but has never spoken out about the identity of her first boyfriend until now, despite media speculation. Lourdes Leon's first boyfriend is a well-known actor
In her interview with Vanity Fair, Lourdes Leon has finally confirmed that Timothée Chalamet was her first boyfriend. The two were long rumored to have been in a relationship while attending LaGuardia High School in Manhattan. "I respect him a lot, we were a little item," Leon revealed to the outlet. "My first boyfriend... or anything."
Leon didn't reveal the timeline of their relationship with Vanity Fair, but Us Weekly reported that the two dated in 2013 after they were spotted out on dates in New York City. Their relationship was apparently so intimate that they kissed in front of Leon's mom, Madonna.
Chalamet spoke about dancing with Madonna and his then-girlfriend in a Sirius XM interview with Andy Cohen in 2017. "That was actually a really fun night," the "Call Me By Your Name" star said. "[Lourdes] was there too, and we were all dancing together." Chalamet, like Leon, declined to reveal how long they dated to Cohen. "Next question, I'm out of here," he joked.
Both, though, have since moved on from their teenage relationship, with Chalamet rekindling his romance with Lily-Rose Depp in April 2021.
