The Tragic Death Of Scottie Pippen's Oldest Son
Scottie Pippen's oldest son Antron Pippen died on April 18, 2021, according to TMZ. He was only 33 years old at the time of his death. Scottie told the outlet, "I'm heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron. The two of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless conversations about the game."
He continued, "Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn't had it, I truly believe he would've made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, though — Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became."
Scottie appeared heartbroken over the loss of his son, adding, "Please keep his mom, Karen, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again."

Antron Pippen was a star basketball player
As of this writing, the cause of Antron Pippen's death remains unknown. But, just like his father Scottie Pippen, Antron developed a love of basketball and played at Texas A&M International University, according to TMZ. He also shot hoops at South Georgia Technical College, and the school honored the late player on Twitter. "The Jets family was saddened to learn of the death of one of our former players, Antron Pippen," they wrote. "His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers. Antron was a Jet during the 2006-2007 season. #Jetfamily #SGTCJets"
According to Marie Claire, Antron reportedly played on the Upstate Heat team of the World Basketball Association. Although he did not make it to the NBA, he played on a local team in Atlanta, Ga., according to Amo Mama. And when he was not shooting baskets, he spent his days as a machine technician in a lab.
