What Really Happened To Keith Urban's Face?
Country superstar Keith Urban is such a talented artist. In addition to his many hits and awards, the Australia-born singer has at times been the target of gossip. Urban has been the topic of several rumors that he has gotten plastic surgery, especially as of late. The husband of Nicole Kidman is known as one of the nicest guys in the music business. Urban is even a mentor and friend to Taylor Swift and tries to help new artists.
So why does the singer keep getting hit with gossip about plastic surgery? Look no further than Twitter on the night of the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards, where host Urban showed up on screen looking a bit more enhanced than the last time anyone saw him.
Twitter user @juleslalaland wrote, "Keith Urban has spent lockdown getting some super creepy plastic surgery. Wow." Another fan watching the ACM Awards tweeted, "Keith Urban, let yourself age gracefully. Plastic surgery is making you look like a cross between Siegfried & Roy & a lesbian."

Keith Urban plastic surgery rumors have been shot down in the past
Gossip surrounding Keith Urban getting plastic surgery seems to swirl around the country superstar. In 2018, Gossip Cop shot down a tabloid rumor Urban was trying to get some "work done" on his alleged "turkey neck." The outlet confirmed with Urban's spokesman that the turkey neck story was completely untrue.
The plastic surgery watch sometimes includes his beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, too! After a TV appearance in 2020, one viewer tweeted, "We watched CBS Sunday morning show yesterday, and Keith Urban was on it. I couldn't pinpoint what was going on with his face, but something looked weird to me... and when they showed Nicole ... the top of her head looked a lot wider to me."
Another plastic surgery rumor making the rounds about Urban was that he and Kidman do Botox together. According to Gossip Cop, though, the story is false. The media outlet reported that Urban's spokesperson said, "Good lord, what won't they say?"
While news about Urban's plastic surgery or Botox keeps popping up — and Urban's face seemingly keeps changing — the singer himself hasn't been forthcoming about any information regarding enhancements. So that is that!
Keith Urban's face wasn't the only thing that changed
While Keith Urban hosted the American Country Music Awards, his face wasn't the only physical difference that fans noticed. As the Daily Mail pointed out, the Australian singer had some new ink in the form of a tribal-inspired tattoo on his right hand. The swirling design could be seen as Urban held a microphone with his sleeves rolled up, presenting the awards show from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
The country star is known for his interesting tattoos. Per the Mail, he already had a similar tribal design on his left bicep, a phoenix on his left forearm, the sun on his chest, an eagle on his right shoulder blade, and the word "love" written across his left shoulder blade.
Two of Urban's tattoos on his right arm pay tribute to his wife Nicole Kidman. A tribal-style bracelet features the initials "NMK," which stand for "Nicole Mary Kidman," and an intricate heart-shaped crest on his right bicep incorporates the name "Nicole."
Keith Urban shows no sign of slowing down
Besides potential cosmetic changes, Keith Urban has been staying busy in 2021. He not only hosted the American Country Music Awards, alongside Mickey Guyton, but is also on the verge of releasing a new album.
But as Urban told CBS News, it took a while for him to shake off his lockdown routine. "I didn't transition smoothly into this new way of doing things," he shared. "I was gonna put my sweatpants on, sit on the couch, watch TV with the family, and wait 'til the whole thing blows over." The country musician revealed that "the turning point" came after he complained to a friend about how much he couldn't do: "And he said, 'Keith, is there anything that you can do?'"
"And within that call, I started to pivot. And I know it sounds so cheesy, but really, that's what it was. I pivoted over towards what I could do," Urban explained, adding that "probably a good third" of his new album wouldn't have been written, if not for the COVID-19 pandemic. He also described why he was "hopeful" about the world opening back up,
"We will learn so much from this moment, so much," Urban claimed. "And when this comes again – and there's no doubt it will at some point –- we'll be way better prepared for it, and I think just have a new way of doing things. We're always gonna play somehow, some way. We're gonna figure out a way to do it."
