What We Know About Bebe Rexha's New Album, 'Better Mistakes'
Bebe Rexha first released her debut EP, I Don't Wanna Grow Up, in 2015 and followed up the project with two EPs in 2017 — All Your Fault: Pt 1 and All Your Fault: Pt 2. The "I'm A Mess" hitmaker dropped her debut album, Expectations, in 2018 and has kept fans waiting for her sophomore ever since.
Expectations took Rexha's career to new heights and helped put her on the map globally. Along with a Best New Artist Grammy Award nomination, the album's lead single "Meant To Be" with Florida Georgia Line received a nod for Country Duo/Group Performance. In 2020, it was announced that the song became one of 39 singles to be certified diamond in the U.S., per Warner Records.
Since her debut album, Rexha has been very active on the music scene. 2020 saw the star team up with rapper Doja Cat for "Baby, I'm Jealous." In 2021, she followed up the single with "Sacrifice." Bebe Rexha fans don't have long to wait until they can enjoy the album
On April 14, 2021, Bebe Rexha took to Twitter to announce that her long-awaited second studio album will be released the following month on May 7. Not only that, but she also posted the official artwork that reveals its title, Better Mistakes, in green text. Rexha can be seen wearing a striped black bodysuit that covers her hands. The "Last Hurrah" singer posed on her knees and styled her wavy blonde locks down with a full fringe. She was captured in blue lighting while gazing directly at the camera lens.
On the same day, Rexha told her followers in a separate tweet that her next single, titled "Sabotage," will be getting a release on April 16. While Rexha hasn't announced what and how many songs will be on the LP, it appears "Sabotage" will likely feature on the tracklist.
Rexha expressed in a Twitter video upload that she was crying over the announcement of Better Mistakes. She stated it is her first album in three years and hinted that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic was one of the reasons listeners have had to wait so long.
