Here's How Meghan Markle Will Fight Back Against Piers Morgan
Meghan Markle is no stranger to relentless gossip and speculation about her life, but some people really have a lot to say about her. Ever since marrying Prince Harry and joining the royal family, Meghan was thrust into an immense and oftentimes toxic spotlight. Upon their decision to step back from the royal family, Meghan and Harry moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., but that didn't stop people from being curious about their lives.
Things became even more intense on March 7, 2021, when Meghan and Harry sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the interview, the couple divulged some scandalous details about their life in the royal family, and Meghan even said that she felt suicidal at one point. While many people have come to Meghan's defense, some people are devoutly out to contradict the Duchess.
One of those people is none other than Piers Morgan. The British media personality has caused quite the stir since the interview, deeming it a "whine-athon" and accusing Meghan of lying (via USA Today). Despite the mounting criticism against her, Meghan has remained pretty quiet amid the interview's aftermath. That being said, she isn't going to sit around and allow Morgan to keep running her name through the mud — keep reading to learn about how Meghan plans to "fight back."
Meghan Markle is prepared to take legal action against Piers Morgan
Though Meghan Markle can't stop people from speculating about her life, she can take action against one person who is continuously accusing her of being a liar: Piers Morgan. Angela Levin, a royal biographer, told Page Six that Meghan and her team will "fight back" against Morgan and his accusations.
"She is a very determined woman," Levin said about Meghan, explaining that her legal team is working to "try to get the better of [Morgan]." "I imagine the lawyers are still working out if there is a sentence or a verb or something that Piers said that they could jump on," she added.
The drama between Meghan and Morgan is at an all-time high, with the latter opting to quit his job on Good Morning Britain instead of apologizing for his insensitive comments about the Duchess (via CNN). As Levin explained to Page Six, Meghan and Morgan "have one thing in common ... neither of them likes to lose." As Morgan continues to speak out, we can expect to see Meghan's "very aggressive legal team" take more definitive steps towards ending his public fixation with her.
