What We Know About Kyle Chrisley's Wedding
Kyle Chrisley is not a reality television star like the rest of his family, who fully embraced appearing on their series Chrisley Knows Best. Despite that, many viewers are aware of who Kyle is and how complex his relationship has been with his father Todd Chrisley. Now, it's been revealed that Kyle just got married, but this apparently wasn't an elaborate affair taped by the USA Network.
When Chrisley Knows Best premiered in 2014, Kyle was a cast member. As viewers learned then, he struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues. He distanced himself from the series after the first year, although his daughter Chloe continued to appear frequently as Todd and his wife Julie had full custody of her.
As more drama between Kyle and Todd ensued, the Chrisley Knows Best star tweeted that his son was bipolar and suffered serious mental health issues. Stories emerged about warrants for Kyle's arrest and he essentially went entirely off the radar for some time. In May 2019, Kyle was arrested on drug charges (via TMZ). Just a few months later, Kyle revealed that he'd apologized to Todd and they smoothed things over significantly.
The relationship seemingly still has its challenges, but it appears that they've managed to put the most difficult times behind them. Kyle proposed to Ashleigh Nelson in February 2021 and has seemed committed to moving forward with his life in positive ways.
Kyle Chrisley and Ashleigh Nelson tied the knot in Florida
According to People, Kyle Chrisley and Ashleigh Nelson kept their engagement short, as they got married in Florida on March 30, 2021. They chose St. Augustine for their location, and they got their marriage certificate locally the day prior to the nuptials. It appeared that Ashleigh and Kyle, both 30, had an oceanfront ceremony. People shared a photo from Ashleigh that showed her standing next to Kyle as he held the marriage license between them. A bit of the ocean could be spotted in the background.
Kyle wore a white dress shirt with the top button unbuttoned and he smiled broadly. Ashleigh seemed to snap the selfie as she leaned in close to Kyle. She styled her blonde tresses casually, parting her hair in the middle and letting the long, straight locks blow in the wind. She wore a short-sleeved, gauzy white dress that looked like the perfect choice for a wedding on the beach.
As of this writing, neither Kyle nor Ashleigh had shared details regarding their nuptials via social media. In addition, it didn't appear that Todd Chrisley or anybody else in the family had acknowledged the event yet either. No witnesses were listed on the marriage certificate, and it seems unknown whether the newlyweds had any guests joining them as they exchanged vows.
