Why Fans Think Travis Barker's New Tattoo Has A Connection To Kourtney Kardashian
In hindsight, it seems almost fated that Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker would end up dating. According to Entertainment Tonight, the two have been neighbors and friends in their ritzy Los Angeles neighborhood of Calabasas, CA, and were introduced via mutual pal Paris Hilton, per Us Weekly. Barker has made a few cameos on his girlfriend's long-running reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, before they ever got romantic. Additionally, his kids are "really good friends" with Kourtney's own children, she revealed in a KUWTK episode (per Entertainment Tonight).
Because even in the dawn of their show's final season, the Kardashians — and all who find themselves in their orbit — continue to fascinate the public, Nicki Swift consulted matchmaker Susan Trombetti about the couple's chances of lasting. "When it comes to Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, as a matchmaker, I believe their relationship could go the distance," Trombetti told Nicki Swift.
And now, an Instagram video displaying Barker's latest tattoo on March 25, 2021 seems to indicate the couple is still going strong.
Travis Barker's latest tattoo might have been written in Kourtney Kardashian's handwriting
"Youre [sic] so cool!" read the caption to Travis Barker's March 25, 2021 Instagram video of him tattooing those same words on his own upper thigh. People noted that the adventurous tattoo enthusiast was likely paying homage to Quentin Tarantino's 1993 cult classic True Romance, which Barker confirmed in a follow-up post. Eagle-eyed fans, however, quickly formed a second observation.
Fans noticed that the tattoo's font matched the handwriting displayed in a previous Barker Instagram story that same week. In his second Instagram post of the tattoo, Barker shared a photo of the "Youre so cool" message on a napkin from the Beverly Ambassador Hotel, a location famously shot in True Romance. Fans deduced that that note was written by Kourtney Kardashian because of her handwriting in a prior love note she wrote to him in February 2021. "To lots of fun adventures, may we destroy each other completely," she penned in that first note.
"@kourtneykardash your penmanship is impeccable," wrote one fan in the comments section of Barker's tattoo post. "Kourtney wrote that huh," chimed in another. "you definitely have to marry her now," shared a third user.
Kardashian did not soothe the rumors of her involvement, commenting on Barker's Instagram share, "You're so cool!" Not to belabor a pun, but it sure smells like "true romance" indeed.
