Why Travis Barker's New Post Is Causing A Stir
Travis Barker is making fans sigh out a sweet "aweeee" after posting a new note from girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian. Despite not ever directly commenting on their relationship, a source first confirmed the duo had found love in January 2021, telling Us Weekly, "Kourtney and Travis are officially a couple. They have been close friends for years and have been dating for a couple months. Travis is very smitten with Kourtney and has been for a while." E! News reported that the entire Kardashian clan "already loves Travis" and their friendly neighbor relationship "recently turned romantic."
Anyone who watches Keeping Up With the Kardashians has seen the lovebirds appear ever-so-briefly on the show, back when Barker was simply Kourtney's longtime friend and neighbor. Even the couple's children (from previous relationships) were close friends before the two decided to make their romantic relationship public, which seemingly was a turn-on for the reality star. "The chemistry and flirtation has always been there," a source told E!. "Kourtney has always been attracted to how Travis is as a parent. He's an amazing, hands-on dad, and Kourtney loves that about him."
Kourtney and Barker's flirtation has become increasingly public, with small gestures coming via social media. So what was the latest Instagram photo that's causing a stir?
Kourtney Kardashian looks to be in love with Travis Barker
Travis Barker took to his Instagram stories to share the latest sweet note his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian wrote for him: A simple "I love you" (via Cosmopolitan). Internet sleuths realized the note was from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star after matching the handwriting to another note that Barker previously shared. That note read, "to lots of fun adventures, may we destroy each other completely, love Kourtney."
Seems like Instagram may be the Hollywood couple's public display of affection zone, as Kourtney first confirmed the rumors she was dating the musician by posting a photo holding hands with Barker just two days after Valentine's Day. Khadijah Haqq McCray, a family friend of the Kardashians, commented on the pic, writing "When friends become lovers," and Barker himself commented with a black heart.
Instagram, however, is also the one place fans of Travis Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler have pitted the women against each other, sparking feud rumors. Despite a bit of social media shade, Moakler publicly told Us Weekly she was "super happy" for the couple and has "no ill will toward anybody."
