Khloe Kardashian Reveals Some Heartbreaking News About Her Pregnancy With True
Khloe Kardashian has always been transparent about her journey to motherhood. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has shared her fertility struggle dating back to when she tried to get "fake pregnant" during her marriage to Lamar Odom (via Insider). "People assume I'm desperate for a baby," she told Redbook in 2013. "And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I'm 28, and I've been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn't feel incomplete right now." At the time, the TV personality revealed she was having trouble getting pregnant due to her "hormones being off."
Three years later, a newly-divorced Khloe opened up about how she'd wanted to have kids with her ex-husband in hopes of solving their rocky marriage. "At the time, I was like, 'Oh, I have to have a baby!'" she shared on her Kocktails With Khloe talk show, per ET. "That's all I wanted at the time, and I thought it would maybe fix the situation [with Odom], so I'm also happy it didn't happen because I was young. I was 27, and I thought, 'A baby will fix this,' and it's not going to fix that."
As we all know, the Good American founder went on to welcome a daughter named True with NBA player Tristan Thompson in 2018. The couple seem to be doing better than ever these days, but it turns out that the reality star faced some complications while pregnant — and now, she's sharing her story.
Khloe Kardashian finds it 'daunting' to consider surrogacy
For the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian revealed her plans to welcome another child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, according to People. However, while talking about her pregnancy plans with sister Kim Kardashian, Khloe shared the complications she's already facing.
"I'm not gonna get into specifics on camera, but they said it's an 80-something percent chance that I'll miscarry," she admitted in the clip of an upcoming episode. The Revenge Body star went on to reveal how her fertility issues almost led to her miscarrying her daughter, True Thompson. "I almost miscarried with [my 2-year-old daughter], True, at the beginning," Khloe said. "But I didn't know that was a lingering thing." She added, "[The doctor] said ... she would feel terrible putting [an embryo] in without warning me that most likely I wouldn't be able to carry."
However, Kim reminded her that surrogacy was still an option — a move the elder Kardashian sister made when welcoming her two youngest children, Chicago and Psalm West. "I'm really grateful that there are other options, but I loved being pregnant with True," Khloe said during a confessional. "It's such a beautiful experience to have. Knowing I might never get to feel like that again, it's daunting, it's scary, it's stressful, and it breaks my heart."
After years of sharing her fertility issues on television, Khloe expressed her frustration over all the "roadblocks" she's had to endure. But we're glad to know she has the KarJenner clan by her side.
