Here's Why Fans Think Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Got Married
Following an on-and-off romance that began back in 2016, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. At the time, the Lord of the Rings star proposed to Perry by presenting her with a "flower-shaped engagement ring that features a center pink diamond," according to Brides. Soon after, the "Firework" hitmaker shared a snapshot of herself with her new bauble on Instagram, alongside the caption, "Full Bloom." Pretty clever, right?
The couple has since welcomed a baby girl together: Daisy Dove Bloom was born in August 2020, according to an announcement made on Bloom's Instagram. And while things have been understandably hectic for the Perry-Bloom family of three, there seems to be some new evidence that a secret wedding took place. ET previously reported in January 2021 that Perry and Bloom were continuing to postpone their wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic. A source cited by the outlet claimed that the A-listers decided to put "wedding planning on the back burner," and that they hadn't been talking about it because they didn't "want to put any pressure on themselves about it." The insider went on to say that wedding planning was causing the couple "stress and tension," but things have been "so great" lately, they don't want to jinx it.
So, has something changed with these plans? Have Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom gone ahead and tied the knot? Read on to find out the latest rumors about their relationship.
Katy Perry was spotted wearing a gold band on her wedding ring finger
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom took their young daughter on a little getaway to Hawaii in March 2021, where paparazzi photos uncovered something pretty interesting: the "Daisies" singer was spotted wearing what appeared to be a gold wedding band on that finger. In photos shared by Page Six, a ring could clearly be seen on Perry's left ring finger when she stepped out in a maroon-colored workout set and a baseball cap that read "MAMA." In a previous Page Six article from a few weeks prior, Perry was spotted walking little Daisy in a stroller, wearing the same hat. Noticeably missing, however, was that gold ring.
At the time of this writing, neither Perry nor Bloom nor their reps have publicly commented on the marriage rumors, so we'll have to take the wedding hearsay with a grain of rice. But as Page Six pointed out, the famous couple have been in Hawaii since February 2021, meaning it is technically possible that they decided to exchange vows while on their family vacation. Hawaii is, after all, one of the most beautiful locations for a wedding. And while some fans have shared their excitement over the couple's alleged secret nuptials, others aren't quite as convinced.
In the meantime, we'll just have to wait to hear from Perry and Bloom themselves on any wedding news!
