The Bachelor: Bri Springs Breaks Silence On Matt James Split Before ATFR
It's been a divisive season for The Bachelor, but at least there's one thing fans can agree on: Bri Springs may have placed third in Matt James' heart, but she's the true winner of Season 25. From discussing her close relationship with her mother who gave birth at age 13, to celebrating her high-powered job, viewers were rooting for Bri throughout the season. Let's just say, she is among the fan favorites, along with Michelle Young (Spoiler: She's rumored to be a Bachelorette with Katie Thurston!), Chelsea Vaughn, Abigail Heringer, Kit Keenan, and more. While Bri did not walk away with an engagement ring, she did make lifelong friends.
"While I may not have seen myself at the end of this journey, I walked away with forever friendships with some of the most phenomenal women I was fortunate to meet," Bri captioned an International Women's Day post on Instagram. "I promise to always uplift and support you as we use our voices to be the change we want to see. Cheers to all of you and an experience we'll never forget."
Maybe the women of Season 25 are getting the last laugh. Rumor has it that Matt will not propose to either of his final two women, and controversial "winner" Rachael Kirkconnell's post-season romance with Matt was short-lived, per Cosmopolitan. Fans are even skeptical as to whether or not Bri will even be a part of the After the Final Rose reunion special, according to The Dipp. But Bri certainly has a lot to say about her time on The Bachelor. Bri Springs is done with Bachelor Nation
Wondering how Bri Springs took her breakup with The Bachelor's Matt James? Bri and her family have left clues for eagle-eyed fans on their respective social media accounts. On March 11, 2021, following Bri's elimination episode airing, her mother LaLa shared a sweet message for her daughter. "Someone who doesn't choose you all the time, every time, is not your person," LaLa captioned her Instagram post. "I know that love will find you, because you encompass love. And now you're that much closer to it."
Bri famously told Matt that she quit her job in order to be on the series longer. Her mom LaLa wasted no time saying that Matt was not worth the decision, and even joked that they can get rid of the present Matt gave Bri's younger sister on her Hometown date. "But in the meantime, girl you better get ya J.O.B. back! P.S.- now we can burn the bunny," she concluded.
Now Bri is breaking her silence about her split from Matt on Instagram. "Life after the show has been full of wonderful surprises. But it has also been mentally draining and there have been times and situations where I've felt defeated," Bri revealed while thanking fans for their support. "I made a commitment to myself, to be honest, and stay true to who I am." Fellow contestant Abigail Heringer commented, "love you Bri," with a yellow heart emoji.
According to Monsters and Critics, Bri also unfollowed Matt and the official Bachelor account. Girl power!
