You've heard of The Brady Bunch, now get ready for The Blended Bunch on TLC! The Blended Bunch is TLC's newest family-focused reality series about Erica and Spencer Shemwell and their family of 11 kids. The cable network that brought us Counting On and Welcome to Plathville is introducing fans to another huge family. But unlike other reality TV families, the Shemwell family became a blended unit after experiencing tragedy.
On Feb. 27, 2021, the Shemwells wrote about their new TV series on their family blog: "We are not a perfect family, and are still figuring things out, and will continue to face challenges in our future. But we hope that by sharing our story you will feel connection, validation, healing, gratitude, love, belonging, and above all, continual hope in your life."

Erica and Spencer Shemwell's kids range in age from 3 to 12
TLC's new series, The Blended Bunch, follows the Shemwell family. Like the now-famous Duggar family, the Shemwells have a large bunch. According to a press release about the series, Erica Shemwell was a single mother of seven kids who lost her husband to cancer. Spencer Shemwell was a single father of four kids who lost his wife in a fatal car crash. After Erica and Spencer met in an online widower support group, they fell in love almost immediately. The couple got married and created a new home for their 11 kids after dating for 13 months.
The Blended Bunch follows the newly blended family of 11 kids as they face many challenges and find happiness under one roof. Erica's kids, from oldest to youngest, include Landon (12 years old), Emma (10 years old), Lily (9 years old), Sophie (8 years old), Tanner (6 years old), Amelia (5 years old), and Caleb (3 years old). Spencer brought four children to the family, three boys and one girl: Brayden (12 years old), Harper (8 years old), Avery (6 years old), and Bexley (4 years old).
Judging by the first trailer of the show, it's definitely not an easy blend with this family — the kids don't seem to always get along. Then again, what kids do? We are looking forward to learning more about the Shemwells!
