The New Man Mary-Kate Olsen Was Just Spotted With After Her Divorce
Elizabeth Olsen isn't the only Olsen in the headlines these days. Mary-Kate Olsen could be dating again, and the tabloids are all abuzz. One month after finalizing her divorce from French banker Oliver Sarkozy, the Daily Mail reported Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted out to dinner with John Cooper, CEO of financial news analysis agency Brightwire. The Full House child star was photographed with Cooper at a restaurant in New York City on Feb. 26. The two reportedly had dinner outdoors at the Greek restaurant Estiatorio Milos with friends.
Mary-Kate and ex-husband Sarkozy wed in 2015 in New York City. According Page Six, the divorce documents filed in April 2020 indicated that Mary-Kate felt "the relationship had broken down irretrievably."
Since her childhood success, Mary-Kate and twin sister Ashley Olsen have stayed away from the limelight and instead focused on their fashion empire. Before marrying Sarkozy, Mary-Kate's dating history included people like Henry Winkler's son Max Winkler, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos III, and artist Nate Lowman.
Mary-Kate Olsen apparently took the advice she gave Elizabeth Olsen
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen may have stepped away from the limelight, but ever since their sister Elizabeth Olsen's impressive success with WandaVision, the name Olsen is very much in the ether. While it may seem like she came out of nowhere, Elizabeth used to act with her sisters in videos, which she described the experience as "after school care" on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Mary-Kate and Ashley know a thing or two about working in show business, and they've shared pearls of wisdom with their younger sister. On Off Camera with Sam Jones, the WandaVision star revealed some of the advice her siblings have given her. "Something my sisters always say—which might have come from my father at one point, my dad, I don't know—is that 'no' is a full sentence and I really like that especially as a woman," she shared. "Yeah, you can just say no. And I just really like that in all aspects of life."
It seems like Mary-Kate took her own advice and said no to her marriage and yes to her future.
