Chrishell Stause Has Harsh Words For Keo Motsepe Amid Their Breakup
Chrishell Stause has accused Keo Motsepe of lying during their relationship in a savage four-post Instagram Story. Just hours after news of the couple's split broke, Stause took to social media to set the record straight. Stause met Motsepe as a contestant on Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars and, while she was not paired up with the professional dancer — she teamed up with Gleb Savchenko — the duo quickly ignited a reality show romance. After confirming their relationship in December 2020, Stause and Motsepe showed off photos of their romantic vacations, Christmas celebrations, and even endearing words for one another on Valentine's Day on their respective social media accounts, per E! News.
However, TMZ — which first reported news of the split — said their "relationship had simply run its course" after roughly three months together, according to "sources close to the former couple." But the Selling Sunset star decided to provide her take on the breakup via an article published by People, which provided contrasting comments to TMZ's "source close to Motsepe."
Chrishell Stause said Keo Motsepe could not 'even order a coffee without lying'
Chrishell Stause began her Instagram Story with: "Welp! How it started" and accompanied it with a screenshot from the People article, which stated their breakup was "mutual" and "friendly," according to the outlet's source. For her second Story, Stause provided a little more context and titled it, "How it's going." The screenshot showed the source's comments, which said that Keo Motsepe, Stause's former boyfriend, was "100 percent in" the relationship and was now having "a tough time with his mom's passing."
Stause fired shots when she said, "TRULY wanted to keep this drama free, but playing the victim and bringing your mom into it is a step too far for me." She continued with: "Taking the high road is overrated sometimes!! I was also 100% in it as well, until revelations told to me recently have made me question if you could even order a coffee without the lying." For the third post, she shared a swipe-up link to an article titled "Liar, Liar: How to Break Free from Habitual Lying" and set it to Beyoncé and Shakira's song "Beautiful Liar."
For her final Story, Stause provided a screenshot from an unknown DM, which suggested she be a little more sensitive towards Motsepe. The 39-year-old clapped back with: "I gathered all the facts before I posted. Don't worry. I know exactly where it came from." It also appears that Stause has deleted all posts of her Motsepe on Instagram, while the professional dancer's account remains unchanged.
Chrishell Stause and Keo Motsepe's break-up comes just weeks after her divorce
It's not the first time that the Selling Sunset star has experienced heartbreak. Just a few weeks prior to her split from Keo Motsepe, All My Children's Chrishell Stause finalized her divorce from This is Us actor Justin Hartley following a two-year marriage, per Entertainment Tonight. Hartley filed for divorce in November 2019 citing "irreconcilable differences." But shortly after, he began dating his former Young and the Restless co-star Sofia Pernas, who also played his girlfriend on the show, per The Sun.
Stause admitted she was not only "heartbroken," but also feeling the "sting" of betrayal, as she was also close friends with Pernas for years, according to The Sun. "I feel like anybody would be heartbroken to see how quickly or easily you are replaced; of course that's going to sting," Stause told People. Stause revealed her marriage breakup on the hit Netflix real estate series, showing that Hartley had ended things over text, per The Sun. While Stause must surely be overcome with emotions in this moment, we truly hope she finds the love and happiness that has eluded her thus far.
