Kanye West Visits Donald Trump

Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump on Dec. 13, 2016, because, well, he's Kanye. In a video obtained by Page Six, Trump told press, "We've been friends for a long time. He's a good man." West, 39, then told reporters, "I just want to take a picture right now." Trump closed out the pow-wow with a hug for West and told him, "Take care of yourself. I'll see you soon."

Page Six reported that a small entourage, including Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, accompanied West to Trump Tower. Ivanka Trump was also on hand for the meeting.

TMZ reported that West and the future POTUS met for about 15 minutes. Trump said they talked about "life." West, in a series of tweets, said he wanted to "discuss multicultural issues," including "bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago." The rapper tweeted, "I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change," followed by a #2024. He reportedly gifted the prez-elect with a coffee table book of photography, some of which included nude shots.

E! News suggested a different theory about the meeting's purpose, with sources claiming Trump reached out to the "Black Skinhead" rapper to be "an ambassador of sorts" and to take an "entrepreneurial leadership role...Trump thinks he's a great role model when it comes to business."

Other than West's meeting with Trump, sources told TMZ the main motive for West stepping out in the Big Apple was to meet with potential psychiatrists on the East Coast. The doctors will join his care team on the West Coast to provide around-the-clock care as needed.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest things West reportedly needs is rest, and People said he's not getting much of it. A source told the mag, "Kim still denies they are getting a divorce, but things are definitely not great between her and Kanye. Kanye is supposed to rest and focus on his mental health. Instead, he has had a very busy week and is done resting." The source added, "Kim acts annoyed. She also seems miserable and is spending a lot of time with her family."

Here's hoping that Yeezy will take a nap between meetings with the soon-to-be leader of the free world.
