A Bravo star will be Coming to America again very soon! As fans eagerly await the upcoming sequel to the 1988 classic film starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, Real Housewives audiences may be surprised to know this actor-Housewife was in the original movie.
Coming to America 2 lands on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2021, per Hollywood Life, and will include new characters played by Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, and Leslie Jones. Black-ish creator Kenya Barris helped pen the screenplay alongside original screenwriters David Sheffield and Barry W. Blaustein, while director Craig Brewer helmed the sequel.

'RHOBH' star Garcelle Beauvais was in Coming to America
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Garcelle Beauvais has had a long career in Hollywood. The single mother of three began acting in 1984 with a stint on Miami Vice, per IMDb. Beauvais starred as a rose bearer in Coming to America before appearing on The Jamie Foxx Show, The Cosby Show, Family Matters, NYPD Blue, and Franklin & Bash. Aside from TV, Beauvais also graced the big screen in Spider-Man: Homecoming and White House Down. Beauvais let reality TV cameras capture her busy Beverly Hills lifestyle beginning in 2020. She also landed a co-hosting gig on the talk show The Real.
Beauvais teased on Instagram that she got "promoted" in Coming to America 2, per The Daily Dish. The RHOBH star's role on IMDb is "rose bearer priestess," which is similar to her 1988 title. Beauvais even shared some BTS content of the incredible costumes on social media when promoting the sequel. "I enjoyed the franchise, and I'm always looking to challenge myself and do new things and I just figured at this point in my life, why not?" she told Page Six about reprising her character.
