The Truth About Jessa Duggar's Husband Ben Seewald
Jessa Duggar Seewald's husband, Ben Seewald, doesn't get as much attention as some other Duggar family in-laws. It seems like Jill Duggar's spouse Derick Dillard is constantly in the media, blasting his wife's family and stirring the pot. Recently, Jinger Duggar's husband, Jeremy Vuolo, has been in the news, but there's not a ton of buzz surrounding Jessa's husband, Ben.
While his brother-in-law Derick made headlines, Ben has been quietly earning credentials to become a pastor. In January 2021, Ben achieved his goal and is now officially ordained. Christianity Today reported, "Jessa Duggar Seewald is now officially a pastor's wife after her husband Ben Seewald got ordained to be a pastor to a church whose name remains unknown as of the moment. The names of the church officials who officiated the ordination also remain undisclosed."
There is more to Jessa's husband than meets the eye. Ben stars with his wife on the TLC series Counting On, and he's very handy around the house. Ben is a proud dad of three children — Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy — regularly sharing about the kids (and Jessa) on social media. Ben is extra sweet about his only daughter Ivy; he posted a picture of his baby girl on Instagram with the caption, "This little princess, chilling with me as I study. It's hard to concentrate on my book with her smiling at me like that." Aw!

Ben Seewald is sweet, but knows how to stand up for himself
It would be hard to marry into the 19 Kids and Counting Duggar family! His wife Jessa Lauren, her sister Jinger, sisters Jill and Jana Duggar lived their lives on camera since the Duggar reality TV franchise began in 2008 when his wife Jessa was just 16! To the Duggar children, being in the spotlight is second nature, but that isn't the norm for most people. But Jessa and Ben are adorable and seem very happy.
From what we've seen in interviews and on social media, Ben holds to traditional conservative values, and he appears very sweet. But don't mistake Ben for a pushover! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are strong personalities, and Jim Bob ruled his family with a firm (controlling?) hand for years.
OK! Magazine reported that Ben pushes back on Jim Bob on religious matters. A source close to the Duggar family told OK! Magazine that Jim Bob and Ben's religious beliefs differ because Jim Bob has a more fundamentalist Christian view while "Ben leans more towards a more Calvinism belief, which is anything that happens has been chosen by God."
We look forward to seeing more of Ben and Jessa and their family as they live their best life.
