Are Morgan And Evan From Temptation Island Still Together?
Temptation Island has quite the premise. The reality show takes couples who are at "crossroads" in their relationships and gives them the chance to sample single life, according to USA Network. The big clincher is whether the couples will stay together, ride off into the sunset with someone else, or go home alone.
The show gave us several compelling storylines. There was Corey and Erin, who tested their love on the Hawaiian island. There was Erica and Kendal, who served some major drama especially because Kendal had doubts about Erica. Are Ashley and Rick still together? The stakes were high for Kristen and Julian, who's relationship went way back.
One of the most dramatic storylines, though, was between Morgan Lolar and Evan Smith. The duo had a unique experience on Temptation Island. Evan joined the show on Season 1 along with his girlfriend of 10 years, Kaci Campbell, according to Us Weekly. Evan left Kaci for Morgan, proposed to her at the end of the first season, and they came back for the Season 2 reunion. So Evan and Morgan definitely got air time as a couple.
But as for the biggest question: Are they still together? We've got the answers.
Morgan claimed she supported Evan the whole time
Did Temptation Island's Morgan Lolar and Evan Smith stay together? Success seemed so likely for the couple, especially since Evan called it quits with long-term girlfriend Kaci Campbell to be with Morgan. Not only that, but during moments of Season 1, Evan admitted that he had never felt like that before, according to ScreenRant.
However, Morgan and Evan split up. She broke the news in April 2020 on Us Weekly's podcast Watch With Us and didn't hold back about the disappointing experience. "He didn't work the entire time that he lived with me for almost a year and a half," Morgan said. "I supported him financially and his excuse for abruptly leaving two days before we were supposed to move to L.A. was that he needed to go 'work' to be able to pay me back."
Morgan added, "He said he wanted to feel like a man, kinda blaming me for him not doing anything with his life. It didn't make any sense to me." Not only that, but she started to notice similarities in her own breakup and Evan's split with Kaci. Morgan reached out to Kaci and the two became friends. In fact, Kaci joined her on the podcast and they shared similar stories about Evan.
"Evan is very much a man of patterns. What he wants is a comfortable situation. He wants his bills paid," Kaci claimed. Sounds like they both dodged a bullet and wound up with a win: friendship.
