Nearly 34% Of People Think Is The Weirdest Celebrity Couple
No two relationships are exactly the same and all relationships have their distinctive aspects and unique quirks. Some duos are made up of individuals who are significantly similar, while others are perfect examples of how opposites attract. Some pairs prefer to spend all of their time together while others need their space. And then there are some relationships that don't involve couples at all but instead could be described as throuples. Of course, there are also those who thrive on relationships that are arguably unexpected and nurture their eccentric ways. Case in point: The celebrity couples that were included in Nicki Swift's survey which 627 people in the United States were willing to offer up their opinion on.
So, who exactly do people think are stars whose romances are on the stranger side? How about Zach Braff and Florence Pugh? Yep! Apparently, 7.02% think that the Scrubs alum and Midsommar star are a peculiar pair and the kind that might make a matchmake furrow their brow. Even more voters — 10.53% to be exact — are confused by the connection between Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney. Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost earned 14.35% of the votes, but that's not as much as Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly who ended up with a whopping 22.49%. Yet not even those "twin flames" could beat out the couple that our survey takers consider to be the weirdest of the weird celebrity couples. And frankly, the couple might actually be happy to agree!
Elon Musk and Grimes embrace their weird ways
When Elon Musk and Grimes showed up together at the 2018 Met Gala, per Cosmopolitan, it would be forgivable if you had assumed that their date was merely a PR stunt meant to stir up attention. However, the two were apparently a genuine couple and have even gone on to have a child together. But that doesn't mean that they're a normal pair by any means. In fact, 33.65% of people who took Nicki Swift's survey feel like they are the weirdest celebrity couple around. Cosmo even claimed that "[t]hey're basically the Romeo and Juliet of our time." Bold assertion? *Nods head vigorously.* Honestly, though, while the comparison to classic Shakespearian star-crossed lovers is definitely debatable, there's certainly no denying that they're an unexpected, if intriguing, pair.
Although some people might be upset that their relationship is considered to be weird, Musk and Grimes would likely be thrilled by the distinction. That's because they have both found success by being different. Musk is a man set on living on Mars while Grimes is a singer who creates alien-worthy music with a supervillain-like aesthetic. And as strange as you might think Grimes' art really is, she admitted to The Guardian, "In my life, I'm a lot more weird than this." Of course, that can be proven by the fact that Musk and Grimes named their son X Æ A-Xii.
Yeah, they're not a typical pair and that seems to be just the way that they like it.
