90 Day Fiance: Inside David And Annie's Relationship Today
David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan's love story was highly debated among fans when they joined season 5 of 90 Day Fiance in 2017. But viewers quickly came around and favored the sweet relationship — and continue to do so to this day. As noted by ScreenRant, the unlikely couple met in Annie's home country of Thailand when David traveled there to escape his painful divorce. "I was sitting in a bar having a drink one evening, and I happened to hear someone singing, and it was like this voice of an angel," David said on 90 Day Fiance: What Now in 2020 about meeting his future wife, according to Showbiz CheatSheet. "I offered to buy her a drink, and we started talking, and we went out from there ... I fell in love with her immediately."
Ten days after the meeting, David was ready to spend the rest of his life with Annie, a woman 24 years younger. Annie felt the same way, but as all 90 Day Fiance couples do, the pair got hit with a series of roadblocks, like the giant $15,000 dowry, two water buffalo, and $6,000 worth of gold Annie's family wanted in exchange for her hand in marriage. Despite these obstacles, he and Annie got married and started their new life together in America.
David and Annie's success story has become legendary to 90 Day Fiance viewers, and the couple seems to be as strong as ever. Let's take an inside peek at David and Annie's relationship today.
David and Annie from '90 Day Fiance' are super busy
90 Day Fiance's David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan had a bit of a hectic start to their life together. According to ScreenRant, the couple stayed with David's close friends Chris and Nikki Thieneman in Kentucky while getting their footing financially. Chris had helped fund David during his original trip to Thailand on 90 Day Fiance. They then moved into a modest apartment together, later staying with friends again as David paid off some of his debts. David and Annie enjoyed a month-long trip to Thailand in September 2020, where David finally gifted Annie's family the buffalo they had asked for when he proposed.
As of this writing, David has a part-time job teaching English to adults and even admitted his wife is one of his students, according to In Touch Weekly. The magazine also reported that they moved into an apartment together in Scottsdale, Ariz. Meanwhile, Annie has a Thai catering business that also offers cooking classes, per ScreenRant. Furthermore, the couple provides tour guide services and officiates weddings, per Annie's catering website CookingWithDNA. "David and Annie are America's favorite couple and you now have the chance to hang out with them! They are ready to show you a good time with even better food!!" the website reads. The couple also has a TLC spinoff cooking show called Spice It Up with David and Annie.
It seems like the TLC stars have their lives financially on track, and their love life is also thriving.
90 Day Fiance's David and Annie are committed partners
David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan have been together since 2017. Although their love life seems picture-perfect, they humbly admitted to Entertainment Tonight in 2019 that they are always trying to keep the spice in their marriage. "The advice that we always give everybody is, my life is like 50 First Dates the movie, not because of my age I'm 51 — because every day, I have to make her fall in love with me again," David shared. "And I couldn't ask for a better partner in this world."
David then recounted how much he has grown in all aspects since Annie entered his life. "Annie obviously is just the best thing in my life, the best decision, and together we feel like we can take on the world," David gushed. "And we're traveling and cooking for people, doing a lot. We're in a lot better shape. It's not like we're wealthy in any stretch of the imagination, but we're doing a lot of different things for revenue," he mentioned of his completely transformed financial status.
In the end, Annie said the relationship is healthy not because of their improved finances but because of the pure love they share. "It's not because we've won the lottery, it's because we love each other and I appreciate him every day."
