The Real Reason Prince Harry Was Just Spotted With James Corden
Since leaving the royal family and moving to Los Angeles, Calif. with his wife, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry has kept a low-key profile, spotted by paparazzi doing charity and volunteer work every now and again. But recently, the paps spotted Harry out and about with his longtime friend and funnyman James Corden. No, Harry will not be joining Corden on the late night talk show circuit. Instead, it turns out Corden managed to lock Harry down for a coveted interview... and a little bit of Carpool Karaoke.
Since arriving in America, Harry and Meghan have been rather tight-lipped about their Los Angeles life, save for some reports about the Duke and Duchess' real estate buys. But you have to assume that everyone with a platform would kill to have Harry come on their show to talk about his move and his future, all while playing some silly late night game. Hence why it makes sense that Corden, who actually attended Harry and Meghan's wedding, would be the person to score the first interview.
Prince Harry opened up to his longtime friend, James Corden
According to an insider for People, James Corden and Prince Harry had a great time filming together. "They taped a COVID appropriate segment of Carpool Karaoke on the double decker," one source said. "They have been friends for years and had a great time. A lot of joking around and laughter." Another source added, "They toured Hollywood and James showed Harry some special landmarks. They also chatted about Harry's life in the US and his focus now." In case you were wondering — no, Meghan Markle does not make an appearance in the segment, but it does sound like Harry was forthcoming and had fun.
Just because Harry and Meghan have not given a ton of interviews about their life in the City of Angels does not mean that they are not relishing this chapter of their lives. A source had previously told People that Cali already felt like home for the pair. "They both love California, and Santa Barbara has a magic to it — the mountains, oceans, vineyards, flowers, gardens. It's so beautiful," the source said. "This is their permanent home. Ever since Archie arrived, everything has been so turbulent, and many things have been up in the air. It has not been easy, necessarily. For the first time in a long time, they have a clear focus."
Hopefully Harry opens up about all of those things with Corden — after all, who doesn't love a little royal tea?
