The Real Reason Ryan Seacrest Quit E! Live From The Red Carpet

During every award season, a few things are certain: Hollywood's best and brightest will walk the red carpet, the stars will look flawless, and Ryan Seacrest will interview them. In 2021, however, the longtime staple of the red carpet won't be the one chatting with the celebs.

The E! Live From the Red Carpet host took to Instagram to announce he'd be stepping down from the hosting gig. "After 14 years of hosting E!'s Live from the Red Carpet, I've decided to move on to new adventures," Seacrest wrote. "I'll miss the whole crew that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana [Rancic]. Thanks to everyone for watching all these years."

E! Network responded to the post with nothing but nice things to say about the famous host. "E! has long enjoyed our relationship with Ryan over the years especially as co-host of E!'s signature red carpet series," the network told the New York Post. "He has been instrumental in giving viewers a front row seat to some of Hollywood's biggest nights. We are extremely appreciative of his many contributions and he will always be part of the E! Family."

So, just what are these "new adventures" Seacrest is talking about?

Ryan Seacrest is known as one of the hardest-working men in Hollywood

Ryan Seacrest never seems to have a day off. From co-hosting Live! With Kelly and Ryan and his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest every weekday morning to continuing his duties as the pioneer host on American Idol, he's been declared by some as "the hardest working man in Hollywood." (That's not even to mention his annual role as host and executive producer of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest.)

On top of all his hosting gigs, he also has a clothing line, Ryan Seacrest Distinction, as well as a non-profit, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which "inspires youth through entertainment and education initiatives," according to its website. He also runs his own production company, Ryan Seacrest Productions, which produces Keeping Up with the Kardashians, its spin-offs, Bravo's Shahs of Sunset, NBC's Shades of Blue, and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution.

While Seacrest is currently single, he's no stranger to high-profile relationships. He dated Julianne Hough for three years, and most recently was linked to influencer Shayna Taylor, who he dated on and off for 8 years, per Us Weekly.

While red carpets will always be fun to watch, there's no doubt it'll feel different without one of Hollywood's staple hosts there to interview the stars — but we're looking forward to seeing all that Seacrest will pursue.
