Madison LeCroy Reveals Whether She And Alex Rodriguez Ever Got 'Physical'
Madison LeCroy is putting those Alex Rodriguez rumors to rest. The Southern Charm star told Page Six that she's "never been physical" with the former Yankees player, calling him an "acquaintance."
"He's never physically cheated on his fiancee with me," LeCroy said to the newspaper. She explained that while she's "spoken on the phone" with the athlete, the calls were "innocent."
As Page Six explained, the rumors started after Andy Cohen asked LeCroy about her reported relationship with an "ex-MLB player" during a Southern Charm reunion special. Cohen mentioned "a very famous, married ex-MLB player" without sharing a specific name (well, technically, he did share the name, but it was bleeped out from the final version of the special). Craig Conover of Southern Charm had originally accused LeCroy of sleeping with a married former MLB player, per People.
But as many have noted, Rodriguez isn't married to Jennifer Lopez. The two are engaged, but they haven't tied the knot yet. So while LeCroy and Rodriguez may not have hooked up, there's still a possibility that she's "been physical" with another unnamed former MLB star. Or it could all just be a rumor! Who knows! But either way, LeCroy and Rodriguez are decidedly not a thing.
Alex Rodriguez isn't the only person Madison LeCroy's been linked to romantically
While Madison LeCroy categorically denied having a "physical" relationship with Alex Rodriguez, she's also been linked to Jay Cutler. Cutler and Kristin Cavallari announced in April 2020 that they were getting divorced, and fans have been doing plenty of speculating about who Cutler may have been dating since the split.
LeCroy previously shared reported DMs between her and Cutler with Andy Cohen, saying that he'd asked her for Charleston restaurant recommendations. But after LeCroy reportedly criticized Cavallari's parenting style during an Instagram Live, Cutler stood by his ex and co-parent, BuzzFeed explains. Cutler and Cavallari both posted the same Instagram photo with the same caption: "The world is full of users. 10 years. Can't break that." Many fans saw the joint photo as a response to LeCroy's Instagram Live video.
LeCroy isn't linked to Rodriguez or Cutler (at least, not anymore). But fans can expect plenty of gossip (and drama) the next time the Southern Charm star is seen with a new man.
Madison LeCroy doesn't want the rumors to cause relationship problems for Alex Rodriguez
Madison LeCroy told Page Six she did not think her "innocent" relations with Alex Rodriguez would create so much drama, adding that she's only ever "talked to him randomly" and the calls were never "consistent." She did not specify what the pair chatted about, nor when the calls took place, but LeCroy admitted that she made the mistake of telling the "wrong person" that she was in contact with the former MLB star. She explained, "All this stuff was a year ago [but] it's being aired now." Of course, she's referring to the fact that Southern Charm was filmed a while back, which is why the rumors are only coming out now.
The reality star also said that the reason why A-Rod's name was bleeped out during the reunion is because she "told them they couldn't use that." LeCroy said, "I have tried to be as quiet as possible. I don't want anything bad for his family, or for mine. We are definitely innocent in this." Even LeCroy's sister, Kaci Davis, came to the star's defense after responding to a fan via Instagram who believes she had an affair with Rodriguez. "ARod's not married!" she pointed out.
But Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez don't seem worried about the rumors
Although Alex Rodriguez has not publicly responded to the Madison LeCroy rumors, a source told People it's a "B.S. story" because "Alex has never met her." Another insider also told Page Six, "Alex and Jennifer are very happy. They're together and building a house in Miami Beach." The couple, who got engaged in March 2019, also appear to be putting on a united front — and based on their recent social media activity, it does not look like they are entertaining the rumors.
The retired baseball player shared an Instagram video of his fiancee jamming to and singing "Best of You" by Foo Fighters in their convertible right before Page Six published photos of Lopez and Rodriguez grabbing dinner in South Florida on Feb. 3, 2021.
As for when Lopez and Rodriguez plan to get married, it looks like it will not be happening any time soon — at least not amid the pandemic. The singer told Andy Cohen in December 2020 that while she was "disappointed" to cancel the wedding, they are in no rush. "It'll happen when it happens," Lopez said. And it will surely be a sight to see once it does!
