Wendy Williams Says She Would Join This Real Housewives Cast
It's a collision of reality TV! Famed talk show host Wendy Williams dubbed herself the Queen of Gossip, but could she handle holding court amongst Real Housewives?
Williams has been outspoken about her struggles with drug addiction, her now ex-husband's infidelity, and even calling out celebrities she finds phony on her eponymous daytime show. From having flings with famous rappers to fighting with Beyoncé, Williams has made a name for herself as the go-to talk show host for all the tea. She would be a no-brainer addition to any Housewives franchise, but Williams had her eyes set on one Bravo franchise in particular. Keep scrolling to find out why Williams wants to get a phone call from Andy Cohen, and how the Watch What Happens Live! host reacted to Williams' offer! Could these Housewives go toe-to-toe with this queen? It seems only time — and reality TV cameras — will tell!
Wendy Williams wants to be a 'friend' on this cast
It might be getting a whole lot hotter in Miami! Wendy Williams had her sights set on joining the cast of since-cancelled The Real Housewives of Miami. The TV and radio personality told Watch What Happens Live! host and Housewives producer Andy Cohen that she was serious about appearing on the Florida franchise that concluded in 2013. While RHOM only lasted three seasons, as of January 2021, there are rumors of the show being rebooted — and Williams wants to be front and center.
"I think it's cheesy to beg because I think you don't believe," Williams joked to Cohen during a Jan. 28, 2021 WWHL! episode, per Cheat Sheet. Williams already has her storyline picked out too!
"I totally can have the 'in' because I would immediately befriend Larsa Pippen," she responded, claiming Pippen is interested in becoming a Housewife if the opportunity presents itself. "Sign up Larsa Pippen, I've got the word on the inside that she wants to be a part. Sign up Mrs. Phil Collins, the ex who's married to the young man."
Yet Williams herself isn't ready to commit to a full-time reality TV role. "Trust me, I definitely want to be just a 'friend of' because I don't want to obligate myself to being there all the time," she laughed. Maybe Williams will be the next Real Housewives casting director!
