Coach Andy Reid and his wife both prioritize their family, and Tammy even shared with the team's website some of the ways they've balanced their hectic life. Coach Reid routinely went to work at 3:30 a.m., working until 7 a.m. when he came home to have breakfast with his kids and take them to school.
Tammy said, "He would go in at these crazy hours and then he would come home by a quarter to 7 and do breakfast with the kids. He then would drive one group to school and I would take the others."
Coach Reid and his wife had their share of challenges raising five children during their 40-year marriage. Sons Garrett and Britt struggled with drug addiction; their oldest son Garrett died in 2012 after a drug overdose at age 29 (via USA Today). The Reids continue to hold their son close, though, even after his death. When the Chiefs won the 2020 Super Bowl, Tammy told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Garett was with them.
