90 Day Fiance: Inside Elizabeth Potthast Castravet's Acting Career
While Elizabeth Potthast Castravet is making headlines for her recent OnlyFans scandal — did she purposely leak fake shots so people would subscribe, per ScreenRant? — some people might recognize the star from somewhere else. And we do not mean her run on 90 Day Fiancé. (She has been involved with the TLC reality show since starring in Season 5.) It turns out Elizabeth has been acting since she was a teen and even had a role on a major primetime drama.
Regarding OnlyFans — a platform for sharing risqué videos and photos, often used by sex workers — Elizabeth's supposed photo-leaking drama was not even the most contentious point for many. She and her husband, Andrei, had dragged former 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima for appearing on the webcam site CamSoda, as well as for having an OnlyFans account, calling her a stripper. So, when Elizabeth and Andrei started their own OnlyFans, Larissa and many others called them out for their hypocrisy.
Regardless, it seems that Elizabeth is pretty comfortable in front of the camera, whether she is appearing on 90 Day Fiancé, OnlyFans, or in scripted drama roles. Let's take a look at her acting career before landing on the reality show.
Elizabeth Potthast Castravet was featured in an award-winning primetime show
In 2011, Elizabeth Potthast Castravet started her acting career off with a bang by landing a role — even if it was a small one — on Showtime's award-winning drama Homeland. She played a cashier in a scene with leading man Damian Lewis in Season 1 of the drama series, including several lines of humorous dialogue.
Since then, Elizabeth has had two other acting roles. In 2012, she played Lynn Bolton in the movie Secrets in the Snow by writer and director Brittany Goodwin. Then, in 2019, she was featured in another movie by Goodwin, Be Still and Know, in which she played Sophia (pictured above).
Considering she has been involved with 90 Day Fiancé since 2017, we are not surprised Elizabeth's filmography is not longer. She is now a mother of one, daughter Eleanor, and her husband, Andrei Castravet, is a handful unto himself. Still, it is fun to look back and think about what turns her career might have taken if she had not stumbled into reality TV.
