90 Day Fiance: Why Stephanie Says She's Taking Legal Action Against TLC
The eighth season of 90 Day Fiancé has already proved to be a fan favorite. With audiences rooting for some couples and loving to hate certain other fiancé duos, TLC has once again found the perfect mix of international lovebirds to cast. But the drama of Season 8 just got a whole lot darker: cast member Stephanie Davison has issued shocking allegations against the reality TV network.
Stephanie first wowed audiences with her eccentric hula hoop hobby and passion for plastic surgery. Her Belize-based beau Ryan Carr also profited from Stephanie's entrepreneurial spirit: while Stephanie hoped Ryan would move to America for her, she secretly had been paying Ryan's salary to work at her friend's resort. As if their relationship didn't have enough problems on top of their 25-year age difference, Stephanie and her psychic pal were convinced that Ryan had been unfaithful, per TV Insider.
Turns out Stephanie was the one with a wandering eye — but she didn't venture too far. Stephanie revealed that she had an affair with Ryan's cousin, Harris, the last time she was in Belize. So what more drama does Stephanie now bring? Keep scrolling to find out her accusations against TLC!
Stephanie Davison claims TLC "manipulated" her
Just add another scandal to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Stephanie Davison commented on Instagram in response to a meme about fiancé Ryan Carr not answering her phone calls. The Grand Rapids, Michigan resident first wrote that her new "motto after this reality TV stuff" was to "ONLY believe half of what you see and hear!"
As followers first assumed Stephanie was joking about the drama playing out on screen, according to Screen Rant, Stephanie went on to clarify that she believes the show "deceived" her. Stephanie wrote, "I was not only raped while filming but manipulated to keep filming after I begged to get off set after being bitten hundreds of times by sandflies. But no, they just needed a romantic dinner filmed with Ryan."
She does not address who allegedly assaulted her. "I spend half my time in a hospital now hooked up to IVs for the inflammation from the allergic reaction I had," Stephanie continued. "They are unwilling to pay all my medical expenses. My attorney started legal action today...stay tuned!"
The post, dated Jan. 14, 2021, echoes similar accusations to 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way alum Deavan Clegg's editing claims. "Fake scenarios taken from real life to ruin many people's lives," the scorned star wrote on Instagram in the midst of her divorce from husband Jihoon Lee.
While we will have to see how Stephanie's allegations play out, we all hope she gets the help she needs.
