How Southern Charm's Cameran Eubanks Really Met Her Husband
Cameran Eubanks, a fan favorite on the reality series Southern Charm, moved on from the Bravo universe after appearing on the show for six seasons. Over the years, viewers saw Cameran grapple with the idea of starting a family, and eventually, the trials and tribulations of motherhood. One aspect of Cameran's life viewers didn't get to see until the sixth season finale? The reality star's relationship with her husband.
All that fans knew about her husband, Jason Wimberly, was that he was a Charleston-based anesthesiologist. She explained her husband's absence on the show during an appearance on Bravo's Daily Dish in 2017: "He has zero desire to be on TV. I always joke that he is just a normal person and most normal people don't want to be in the spotlight. Does this mean I am calling myself crazy? Absolutely. We all have a bit of an ego. Jason doesn't have one, which is part of the reason I love him so much. He's the yin to my yang."
In 2015, she told Glamour that she wanted to keep that part of her life private. "When I agreed to do the show, I said I did not want my love life on national TV. I was in a serious relationship when we started, and then I got married. I kept that separate from the show."
So, how did the super private couple actually meet?
Cameran Eubanks met her husband on a blind date
Southern Charm alum Cameran Eubanks met her husband on a blind date, and the first impression was apparently not the greatest. In a Southern Charm confessional, Cameran revealed that while on the first date, she thought to herself: "Eh, I'm probably not going to go on a second date with him." That was until her now-husband Jason Wimberly invited her to a Prince concert for their second date, and by the end of the night, she knew he was the one.
Unlike other Bravo-lebrities, Cameran kept the cameras far away from her 2014 wedding to Wimberly. The pair tied the knot at a Charleston plantation under a large oak tree surrounded by hanging lights, per It Girl Weddings. Former co-stars Shep Rose, Craig Conover, Danni Baird and Whitney Sudler-Smith were also in attendance. When Cameran revealed she had tied the knot, it came as a surprise to fans as there had been no mention of her significant other or wedding on the first season of the show, which was airing at the time she got married.
Three years after they wed, the couple welcomed a daughter
The pair welcomed their first child together, Palmer, in 2017. Fans of the show are familiar with Cameran Eubanks' not-so-easy decision to embark on a motherhood journey. On Season 3 of the show, she told a therapist, "Everybody I talk to, they say your life will change. And I think, 'But I love my life. I don't want it to change.'"
Since having Palmer the reality star has said the difficult parts of parenting are worth the "love you cannot describe" (via People). So, are more children in Cameran's future? "I think giving [Palmer] a happy, healthy, mentally sane mother is way more important than a brother or sister that she's probably gonna fight with anyway," she told People.
Cameran announced she was leaving Southern Charm on the heels of cheating accusations against her husband, which Kathryn Dennis brought up on the seventh season of Southern Charm. Cameran took to Instagram in a since-deleted post to clarify that her decision to leave "had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about [her] marriage" (via Us Weekly).
