The Truth About Cardi B's Message For Vince McMahon
It's never a dull moment when Cardi B is around. The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, has never been one to keep it safe on the internet and on the streets. Between feuding with Nicki Minaj and getting chucked in the head with a heel during New York Fashion week in 2018 to releasing "WAP" in 2020, Cardi provides entertainment wherever she goes so it's not surprising that even the WWE gave her a shoutout.
Cardi's WWE moment came on Jan. 4, 2021, when its Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson name-dropped the rapper on its WWE Raw backstage segment, via Billboard. In the segment, WWE champion Angel Garza presented a rose to Wilson while she spoke with Nikki Cross. Wilson politely declined and told Garza that she had "invited Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, and Ariana Grande to come here to watch RAW tonight."
Wilson then tricked Garza into entering a room where the three stars were "waiting" for him. Cardi and others were nowhere to be found though with The Boogeyman (wearing a Cardi B-esque wig) and R-Truth — who became the new WWE 24/7 champion — pinning him during the segment.
Fans were not impressed with WWE's tactics and tagged Cardi during the broadcast. Cardi was confused but had pointed words for WWE's CEO.
Cardi B was not impressed with her WWE debut
"Ok nomore wwE tweets I haven't watched it in years," Cardi tweeted to her 16 million followers. "I was just confused on all the wwe tweets I was getting. Before this last thing I Hurd bout it was about a sexy wrestler name Carmella."
Cardi changed her tune though when a fan tweeted the video of Garza's segment to her. "WWWWTTTTFFFFFFFFF ....This is not how my wwe debut was supposed to be !" Cardi wrote before jokingly calling out WWE's CEO Vince McMahon. "COUNT YOUR F***IN DAYS !!!!"
Cardi's investment into the WWE programming had fans wanting more of her takes. Turns out, she likes Sasha Banks from WWE SmackDown "a lot" and found herself "too young" for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson when he was competing, via POPSUGAR. She added that she liked watching Triple H, Booker T, Melina, Trish Stratus, and John Cena when they were on the big stage.
Cardi's WWE night ended with a bang after Melina tweeted her admiration for the rapper. "Wow what a great night for me !" Cardi quote tweeted Melina. "I remember your first debut with the two dudes you used to be with ! Just wow!"
