90 Day Fiance: The Truth About Yara's Tragic Pregnancy Loss
TLC's 90 Day Fiancé continues to dominate the reality TV landscape. While the premise of the show about the United States visa process might sound boring, the couples featured are anything but. Each season, cameras follow a few different couples as they embark on their 90-day visa journey. In the U.S., a citizen has the right to obtain a 90-day visa for their significant other from another country. At the end of the 90 days, however, the pair must either get married or their foreign partner must return to their native country.
Of course, this is reality TV we are talking about, so it is never just as simple as deciding to get married or not. The couples fight with their families, producers, friends, each other... you get the idea. Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé saw the introduction of Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren. The couple met while on vacation and a romance quickly developed. They spent the next several months traveling the world together until Yara unexpectedly learned she was pregnant. Sadly, Yara lost the pregnancy, but stayed with Jovi nonetheless.
Despite a few bumps in the road and some criticism from viewers, everything between the couple seemed fine until Yara revealed on a Season 8 episode that her miscarriage forced her to question her relationship with Jovi in a way she never expected.
Yara Zaya isn't sure she can trust Jovi Dufren after her miscarriage
Yara Zaya opened up about her painful past on a Season 8 episode of 90 Day Fiancé. Yara and her fiancé, Jovi Dufren, were already under a fair amount of stress thanks to the demands of Jovi's job, which requires him to travel for four weeks, leaving the couple only 45 days to decide whether or not to marry.
Understandably, Yara felt more than a little neglected by her husband-to-be. After all, she just moved to this country — it's not like she knows many people. But the problem is not going to get any better any time soon, either. Jovi works four weeks, then gets four weeks off, which means he can spend uninterrupted time with Yara, but that also means he's MIA for half the year. Unfortunately, Jovi's most recent work trip brought up a lot of feelings for Yara who, as reported above, suffered a miscarriage early in their relationship, per TV Insider.
Jovi left for a four-week work trip right after Yara miscarried and was not there to support her during her operation. "How can I trust you after what you did?" Yara reportedly asked Jovi, per TV Insider. "How can I born your kids if I know that you can leave me alone?"
Apparently, Jovi did not know that Yara would require an operation. He also claimed the only reason he did not bring her with him was that she lost her passport, per In Touch. Whatever the truth might be, we have to agree with Yara here — Jovi's timing was not great.
