The Truth About Peyton List And Cameron Boyce's Friendship
Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce passed away in July 2019, but his memory still lives on with his family, friends, and former co-stars. Boyce's Disney Channel family has shared memories of the late actor over the past year and a half, and it's clear he held a special place in many people's hearts. One of those people is Peyton List, who starred alongside Boyce in Disney's Jessie, as two of the four Ross children who Jessie (played by Debby Ryan) nannied for in New York City.
After Boyce died in his sleep after suffering a seizure, List shared an emotional Instagram tribute to her late co-star. "He lifted everyone around him, and inspired/pushed me to be a better person than I ever would've been without his guidance, patience, and love," List wrote of Boyce. "Cameron, I love you with every ounce of me, and I thank you for the time I had with you, being in my life, and being my brother forever and always. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal left for you. I will never stop talking about you."
List has stayed true to her word, sharing more tributes to Boyce as the months have passed. In May 2020, List shared a throwback Instagram photo of her and Boyce on what would have been his 21st birthday.
Peyton List is raising money for The Cameron Boyce Foundation
The Cameron Boyce Foundation, which was created after the actor's death, is working to cure epilepsy and to raise awareness about gun violence. Peyton List has the charity's Instagram handle in her own Instagram bio, and she recently asked fans to donate $5 to the charity during the 2020 holiday season with her Give Me $5 Holiday Campaign. The Cobra Kai actor also reposted the foundation's Black Lives Matter statement to her Instagram account on June 1.
And in August 2019, List shared a Refinery29 story about a photography project Boyce created, where people wielded ordinary objects, such as ballet slippers and guitars, as if they were guns. List posted a quote from Boyce about the project and a screenshot of the story. It's clear that Boyce's legacy and kind heart will always live on with List.
Boyce's other co-stars have shared tributes for him, too. In October 2020, Skai Jackson dedicated her Dancing with the Stars performance to Boyce, and Karan Brar got a tattoo honoring the late star in January 2020. Boyce is gone far too soon, but he'll never be forgotten.
