The Truth About Tayshia Adams And Zac Clark's Engagement
The 20th season of The Bachelorette was like no other. Due to COVID-19 issues, they weren't able to film at the iconic Bachelor mansion. Instead, producers opted to move the entire cast and crew south to La Quinta. That's when Clare Crawley made her appearance; at 38, Clare became the oldest Bachelorette in franchise history, but she made series history in more ways than one. After only a few weeks, Clare declared she'd found her one, Dale Moss, and the two departed the show to live their happily ever after, mid-season. Enter Tayshia Adams, a fan favorite from The Bachelor who was called in to finish out the season.
Despite the rocky start and the weird circumstances surrounding 2020, Tayshia managed to find love. In December 2020, on the season finale, Tayshia accepted Zac Clark's proposal after a confusing split with Ivan Hall. Not that it matters, because Tayshia claims she ended up exactly where she was supposed to: with Zac, and the two reportedly couldn't be happier. Read on for all the details about the engagement and what's next for the couple.
Tayshia and Zac are excited about the future
According to Tayshia Adams, she knew something was different about Zac Clark the first time she laid eyes on him. "There was something I couldn't put my finger on. He had a mystery to him that I wanted to get to know more about," Tayshia told People following the season finale. "And him having the coin for me to throw in the fountain on the first night was simple and thoughtful. He tugged on my heartstrings with that!"
Zac felt just as drawn to Tayshia. "When she walked in the room, oh my God, the physical attraction was immediate," he told the outlet. "And in our first interaction, I knew she was special." So special that within a few weeks, he was ready to propose. Zac asked Tayshia to marry him with a 3.25-carat diamond ring and she, of course, said yes.
Now that the season has wrapped and they've gotten the proposal out of the way, Zac and Tayshia are ready to jump headfirst into the rest of their lives, starting with Tayshia's move to New York City to be with Zac. "We're going to get comfortable," Zac told People. "And I'm going to date the heck out of her!"
Tayshia, meanwhile, is counting her blessings. "I can't wait to experience life with him by my side," she added. "It's been a really hard year for everyone, including myself. But I'm so happy that I ended it with so much love." Here's wishing the happy couple all the best.
