Carrie Underwood Got An Unusual Christmas Gift From Her Husband
Life has definitely changed for Carrie Underwood since she first found fame on American Idol. For instance, she's released a string of hits, won a slew of awards, and earned countless devoted fans. On the personal side, the country singer married professional hockey player Mike Fisher in 2010 and they are now the parents of two boys, Isaiah and Jacob. Beyond that, Underwood and Fisher both happen to be pretty darn rich. His fortune sits at $30 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, while she has even more (like, a lot more) with a stunning $140 million.
With that kind of cash in the bank, it might seem safe to assume that this is one couple that enjoys lavish, luxurious, and, well, super expensive gifts. Perhaps they like spoiling each other with jewels or take each other on unforgettable trips to tropical locations. Maybe they drop serious cash on new cars or go on the kind of shopping sprees that we can't even imagine. While they can certainly afford any of those things, Underwood would rather not exchange presents at all.
"I'm actually not a good gift giver ... I will tell my husband like, 'Don't get me anything,' because that means I have to get him something," the star admitted to ET Canada. "I'm so awful!"
Although Underwood may struggle with finding the perfect present, her husband seems to have a knack for giving good (if wildly unusual) gifts.
Carrie Underwood's gift from Mike Fisher should be kept in a barn
When Carrie Underwood got a Christmas present from her husband, Mike Fisher, in 2020, she likely had to head out to a barn to enjoy what she got. But she probably didn't have to unwrap her present because it's quite likely that it — or rather, they — were just walking around!
"He got me cows, which is what I wanted," Underwood told ET Canada. Does this mean that Underwood is leaving music behind in order to start a dairy business? Probably not. Instead, she clarified that her husband bought her the living gifts because "they're my favorite animal. I love them, they make me so happy." Underwood added, "I don't want them for any purpose, just to love them."
The lucky cows who get to now live on Underwood and Fisher's farm in Nashville were snapped up by the hockey player at a cattle auction, which fans saw via his Instagram Stories, per ET. While that might not be the typical place to grab a gift for your spouse, Underwood certainly seems to be pleased by her moo-ving Christmas presents.
