Married At First Sight: How Woody And Amani Met Before The Show
Woody and Amani Randall walked away from Married at First Sight Season 11 as happy newlyweds and fan favorites. The ups and downs of their love story played out on screen after they were matched by the show's experts. Woody Randall, deemed "Mr. Life of the Party" was paired up with Amani, "Ms. Calm, Cool, and Collected" due to their different personalities. The New Orleans school teacher expressed his excitement to get married to a complete stranger, stating in the season preview, "I know who I am as a person. I love myself and I love everything that I'm doing right now and the only thing I don't have to share that with is a wife."
Following their nuptials, Woody wasted no time letting Amani know of his attraction to her, even going as far as to ask for a "honeymoon baby." However, Amani was seemingly reluctant to let her guard down and evolve the "strong like" she had for Woody into love, as noted by Soap Dirt. On Decision Day, they left the experts in tears with their emotional decision to stay married.
Now that the season is over, Amani and Woody have dropped a few YouTube videos which give more insight into their relationship. And in one of these clips, the couple revealed that they had met before getting married, a big no-no for cast members. Keep on reading for more info about how the meeting went down.
Woody and Amani Randall had a chance meeting
With the show being called Married at First Sight, it's obvious that's how the experiment works. However, after wrapping up Season 11, Woody and Amani Randall admitted to having met each other before exchanging vows. As it turns out, the soon-to-be newlyweds had met two weeks before their scheduled wedding at a local restaurant, Soap Dirt reported.
They admitted to finding each other attractive, but since they were both focused on who they were about to get married to, they didn't take time to exchange information. "I looked at her and thought, 'man I might have to shoot my shot', but then I thought 'man I'm getting married next week,'" Woody recalled in their December 2020 YouTube upload. "And I was looking past him because I was already looking for my husband," Amani shared. "He's nice but I have a husband on the way." The couple also recalled how it wasn't until the night after their wedding when they realized they had met the week before. "Imagine that. Two weeks before you meet your wife and you give her your food, you feed her," Woody said of their adorable history.
Congrats to Woody and Amani on their amazing relationship!
