The Controversial 90 Day Fiance Star That Once Appeared On Maury
Surprise! 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem was a reality TV celebrity before appearing on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.
But first, let's recap Angela's run on the TLC franchise. One of the most talked-about couples from the TLC franchise, Angela and (now husband), Michael Ilesanmi, fought hard for their cross-continental romance. Angela flew to Nigeria multiple times to spend time with long-distance love Michael, and the couple endured cheating allegations, financial problems, and health issues to finally tie the knot in Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
As it turns out, Angela wasn't a stranger to the reality TV cameras before getting cast in 90 Day Fiancé family. The Hazelhurst, Ga. native appeared twice on Maury Povich's infamous Maury, which, to be honest, isn't so surprising. As for why Angela felt the need to air her dirty laundry on TV? Apparently, her daughter Scottie Deem has more drama than her mama!
Angela questioned the paternity of Scottie's kids
Any 90 Day Fiancé fan knows Angela is all about family. After the February 2020 passing of her elderly mother, the 50-something hospice nurse has been busy taking care of her many grandkids. Her recent weight loss journey is rumored to be the centerpiece of a possible spinoff series, and Angela hopes to also bear Michael's child if her health permits. Angela even asked daughter Skyla to donate an egg so she can "tote it" (aka carry) during pregnancy.
Yet maybe Angela should be asking her other daughter Scottie instead. Their dual Maury appearances kicked off in 2015 with Angela accusing Scottie of cheating on her boyfriend, Terry. Angela was adamant that granddaughter Anna Sky was not Terry's biological daughter. "I caught her screwing Chris," Angela shouted in an explosive reveal onstage. She speculated mystery man Chris was the true father of Anna Sky. A DNA test proved that Terry is Anna Sky's dad, but Angela's popularity on the show lead to a second appearance in 2016.
After the birth of Scottie's second daughter Ariah, the Deem family was invited again to Maury's couch. A similar paternity conspiracy ensued, and Angela once again was proven wrong. Talk about high drama.
