How Anna And Mursel From 90 Day Fiance Really Met
Even for die-hard 90 Day Fiancé fans, it can be hard to keep track of every single couple in the show's lengthy history and many spinoffs. Each 90 Day couple comes with their own eyebrow-raising storyline full of twists and turns, from stark age gaps to seemingly insurmountable cultural differences, and over the years, the franchise has seen some truly wild scandals. Some fan favorite cast members return for subsequent seasons or even get their own spinoff series, like Chantel and Pedro Jimeno, who are now full-time reality TV stars. Other couples, like Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu, actually manage to find happily-ever-after away from the spotlight after their appearance on the show.
Anna and Mursel appeared on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé. They fell in love despite a severe language barrier, with Anna hailing from Nebraska and Mursel hailing from Turkey. These days, Anna and Mursel are happily married, and they've even started a business together in the same industry that brought them together in the first place. Here's how Anna and Mursel really met.
Anna and Mursel opened a honey store after the show
How did Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu fall in love despite living thousands of miles away from each other and speaking totally different languages? Anna and Mursel originally met in a Facebook group for beekeepers, as Anna explains on the show. They're both passionate about beekeeping and honey, and this shared interest is partly what motivated Anna to give the relationship a try despite all of the obstacles in place.
During Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé, Mursel moved to the U.S. to be with Anna after proposing to her during an earlier visit. But the relationship faltered when he revealed that he planned to lie to his parents about Anna having three sons from a previous marriage, prompting Anna to give her fiancé an ultimatum: tell his parents the truth or go home single. Fast forward to many arguments later, and the pair did manage to get married with only two hours left on Mursel's K-1 visa.
After the show, the couple opened a honey store together called Beauty and the Bees in Omaha, Neb. in September 2020. In addition to selling pure Nebraska honey, the shop also sells whipped honey, candles, lip balm, beeswax melts, and other bee-related goods. There's even an online store!
Anna and Mursel's shared hobby played a major role in their happy ending, bringing the couple from long-distance lovers to married business partners. We just hope they no longer have to rely on a translator to communicate.
