90 Day Fiance: Why Deavan Called Her Wedding To Jihoon 'Disappointing'

Take 2! 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee tied the knot again, in the Nov. 29, 2020 finale of the hit TLC show. The couple wed for the first time during Season 1, but headed to the altar for a second time after Deavan relocated to South Korea with daughter Drascilla from a previous relationship and the pair's son, Taeyang. After watching the couple for two seasons, fans were elated to see the pair tie the knot again but, of course, it would not be a 90 Day Fiancé wedding without a few hiccups.

Sadly, Deavan's Korean wedding was not exactly what she had in mind since she left most of the wedding planning for her in-laws to handle. "I'm grateful that Jihoon's parents put this wedding together, but it is a factory-style. Basically, you only have the wedding venue for 45 minutes. Once you're done, you have to leave and then boom, the next bride comes in," Deavan explained during a confessional interview, per TV Insider. "That's not how I would have wanted it." Deavan wasn't pleased with her Korean nuptials

Like many 90 Day Fiancé couples, Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee have struggled with cultural barriers — even on their wedding day. While filming their second wedding in South Korea, Deavan admitted that she was not involved in any of the wedding planning and seemed to be a little displeased with several of the Korean customs. She said she was not even sure if she was supposed to kiss her beloved under the altar. Even in the magical moment when Deavan saw herself as a bride dressed in white, she admitted that the day was "disappointing" overall, per TV Insider

Acknowledging that Deavan was not too happy with her second special day, her mother, Elicia, told the cameras her daughter was "losing her temper." Despite the lack of control Deavan had over her wedding, the couple embraced each other as they said their vows. "Even though it hasn't been an easy day, I see Jihoon and I think I'm making the right decision right now and that makes it all worth it," she said during a private interview, per YouTube. Although the couple did not kiss after saying "I do," they danced down the aisle as they celebrated with family and friends. It might not have been the second wedding Deavan had in mind, but it looks like it was a special day for the couple.
