Inside Matthew Perry's Engagement
Matthew Perry is engaged to his girlfriend Molly Hurwitz! People revealed that the Friends star proposed to his longtime sweetheart. Perry confessed to the outlet: "I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time." We're not crying — you're crying! Finally, some good news in 2020.
The couple began dating in 2018 and reportedly spent the holidays together last year (via DailyMail). At that time, the couple essentially had to go public with their romance in December 2019 after Perry and Hurwitz were photographed together outside a West Hollywood restaurant. According to the DailyMail, the lovebirds celebrated the 2019 holidays in L.A., at Perry's swanky pad in Century City.
USA Today also revealed that Perry will be busy in 2021. He and his future wife need to plan a wedding and he's joining his TV "friends" in 2021 for a Friends reunion! "Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March," Perry tweeted in November 2020. "Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that's the way I like it!" Matthew Perry finds love after 'Friends'
Matthew Perry finally found true love with literary manager Molly Hurwitz. While the Friends star is 20 years older than his future bride, the two seem happier than ever as they begin to plan their life together. In February 2020, US Weekly reported, "His inner circle have wanted to see him settle down for a long time, especially [former Friends co-star] Courteney Cox, and they hope him and Molly go the distance." They certainly had reason to be optimistic as Hurwitz had "been spending more and more time at his [place]" despite having "her own apartment."
The couple broke up for a minute in 2020, but it looks like the time apart was good for the relationship. And fans will be happy about Perry's engagement, as his post-Friends acting career has been rocky, to say the least. The beloved actor has been in rehab several times for alcohol and prescription pill addiction, but he never lost his sense of humor. When Perry returned to rehab for the third time in 2011, he joked with TMZ: "I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery. Please enjoy making fun of me on the world wide web." But now, Perry's love story is no joke. And we could not be happier for these two lovebirds!
